The Jimmy Johns in Chanhassen is looking too.

Things are looking up!

Speeding?

My drug-lingo is also not up to speed. I mean up to snuff. Forget it.

Jr scored two goals last night in the soccer match. This kid is a lousy soccer player, slow and not very skilled . . . In second half our coach implimented a 10 pass rule - must complete 10 passes before shooting. He was right in front of the net after 10 were completed so he popped it in again. I'm sure three goals is the most he's had in a season for the last three seasons of travel soccer.

Nice! As the wise coach said, There's no such thing as an ugly goal. :)

Sitting here with my friends, on my 2nd glass of white wine (after a deeeelicious martini) after a wonderful bolognese dinner. Hottie bartender left early tonight .:( But the company of good friends and good wine make up for it. Well, kinda.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Bought a brand new Deere riding mower after work. I'll rebuild the engine of the old one when I get time and re-sell it.

I miss mowing the lawn on a riding lawnmower... no, this isn't my usual "want a house" kick... I haven't used a riding lawnmower since high school and that was at grandmas. I really enjoyed doing that. I'll be happy if I get not much more than a postage stamp... I'm not great at maintenance and I don't want to pay a guy to do it.

edit: to that end, I would have liked to do that ball collection thing at a driving range... a summer doing that would be enjoyable

Mowing the lawn bores me, but I'm used to driving 400hp tractors, not 20 hp lawn mowers. I refuse to call a lawn mower a tractor. If you enjoy mowing the lawn you should drive a real tractor sometime you'd probably really enjoy it. Instead of mowing 4' swathes, you're tilling 50' swathes.

Trimming around/between trees must be a real biatch.

If there are trees in the fields, you have some serious problems.

The mower I got is just a little guy, one of the smallest Deere makes, my lawn isn't big enough to justify anything bigger and its just too big to push mow.

Morning Lodge.

I keep debating getting a rider. Maybe when the current Toro self-propelled dies. i want it more for working on the ice rink in the winter than the lawn mowing.

When I worked on the golf course I mowed with everything from push mowers on up to small tractors and several in between. And, yes, I drove the tractor to pick up balls at the driving range too. That was good experience because back then it was an old ford tractor with no synchromesh so I had to learn to shift a little better than you can get away with in a car.

People that drive manual transmission cars have no clue how much different it is to shift without a syncro until they've tried.

BB, you're making me miss being home... my family has two Allis-Chalmers sitting in storage. I think they finally got the one dug out (it was sinking in the dirt from just being parked). Not sure if the big Allis still cranks anymore though.

I think the two tractors are Allis B and C styles.
