And the students aren't even going to be there...that is where the handful of hot ones come from.
Some locals are attractive, dammit.

I know I didn't want the Travel Lodge. ;) And the Franklin is where everyone/reception is at, it looks like a nice place, and it's cheap enough, especially when I'm splitting the room cost.

And Mookie, what Dustin said. I can probably count on one hand the number of hot girls there, and on two hands the number of "good enough" girls there I've seen in the 4-5 times (I think that's right) I've been up there for a weekend. And that was during the school year. Using an average scale of course. If I adjust it to Tech Standards, then those numbers might require a couple toes for the count on the "good enough" scale. ;)

Edit: this might shock some easterners, but the "nice" hotel in Houghton is about $95/night. And as I said, it actually looks nice!
We're staying at the Super 8.
The FSI is quite nice, especially for Houghton.

I did pretty well in my race this weekend: 1:48:51 was my time. That's an 8:19 min/mile pace. I was 20/140 in my age group and 263/1652 overall, plus it was a personal record by just over 14 minutes. I'll take it. :D
When will you be running marathons? At that pace, not only would you break 4 hours, but you'd have an outside shot at 3 1/2 hours - which is quite fast.

Thanks for reminding me that we need to do this booking the hotel thing, like, yesterday.

After the Board was hacked over the weekend, I changed numerous passwords on Brent's suggestion. (I am still not sure why he recommended that, but I figured that it couldn't hurt.) One of the passwords that I changed was for my credit union accounts. I immediately signed on and the new password worked. Later on Saturday, I tried again, and and I couldn't get on. After several false attempts, I tried the "forgot password" link and was told that I had too many failed logins. I immediately went into panic mode. I was told to contact the CU which I couldn't do since they were closed until this morning. Well, I finally contacted them, and everything seems fine. :)

Morning Lodge.

Week off before starting new job. Busy day today. Have to get to AAA to renew a sailboat license that somehow got missed in the mail, need to set up a bunch of appointments and fill out paperwork for the new job, but first - breakfast (oh yeah, just did a light workout first). Later I'll fix some things in the garden from Saturday. Nice day for it all.

You change passwords because when you sign up for here, you have to provide an email address. If this board was hacked, they could have access to your email address book and possibly emails; emails that may contain info for other sites (including financial sites) that you are a part of. It's more of a safeguard than anything, but better safe than sorry.

Eh, whatever. I keep my important emails and my fun emails on 2 different accounts, with completely different passwords. If they get any information from my account the worst they'll be able to do is change my fantasy baseball roster.

Thanks for the congratulations, all! :)

Summer 2012. As 3:35:00 is a Boston Qualifying time for my age, I'm aiming to at least break that.

Just called, we're set for a room as well. :)

Are you guys at the Franklin too?

And also, for the USCHO guys going to the shindig, what is everyone's plan in regards to the golf event on Friday night? Is anyone going? I would like to go, but I'm hoping some others from here would want to join. (Brent, I know you don't want to golf, but you could drive the cart, drink beer and make fun of us, if you'd like)
