Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

I would like to go too, but I don't know when we were planning on getting up there.

CC to Brent: There is a possibility I may have to drive myself up there, as I may be heading down to Milwaukee to visit family right from Houghton. Nothing is definite yet though...
I am planning on driving up on Friday morning, leaving early enough to be in town by early afternoon, if you guys want to convoy up. If you have to drive separately, I could ride with one of you guys, so we're not all 3 driving all the way up. Do we know anyone else driving up from the Twin Cities at about the same time? I'm guessing that they must be someone, since I'd expect quite a few people from around here to make the trip.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

If there is anyone who is coming up to H'ton on the Saturday of the shindig, let me know and we can convoy as well.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Thanks for reminding me that we need to do this booking the hotel thing, like, yesterday.

Hi, Lodge. I did pretty well in my race this weekend: 1:48:51 was my time. That's an 8:19 min/mile pace. I was 20/140 in my age group and 263/1652 overall, plus it was a personal record by just over 14 minutes. I'll take it. :D
Way to go, 'diva! You'll do quite well in a marathon next year!

XKCD, please stop reading my mind.

Ummmm...... Link please??

Afternoon all, just killing time til my next client comes in today here at Vivo. Only another 2 hours or so til he's here.

and dang it, where do I go to read my reps?? this is a serious drag here....
This one? http://xkcd.com/905/

Afternoon, Lodge. Yesterday I decided to start selling peanut brittle and biscotti for Team in Training, and I already have my first customer.

Not sure how NMUKat and I are going to make the trek. I'm leaning towards getting to GB late Friday night and crashing at my cousins house, then making the rest of the drive Saturday morning.

NMUKat knows an MTU alum with a house in Houghton; we just gotta see if it's available to use that weekend first. :D

Brent...curious, do you know what the plans are for when GLM comes to visit in a few weeks? I know we were going to meet up when he was here, and that you were trying to plan something with him, just wondering what came of it. Can he get us into the draft?

Yay, finally home from Atlanta.

Impressive landing job by the pilots in strong winds. It's like we were landing while moving sideways. But still a smooth touchdown.

It sounds like GLM has most of Sun afternoon free, dunno what else. He's staying in downtown Minneapolis. Tix for the draft are free, but it's not like I care if I'm actually there in person.

As for the 2011 Sh*Show, hotel checkin is at 2pm, IIRC, and I would love to be up there by then (golfing is at 4pm, I believe). I mentioned that I would drive the cart. While drinking. If MNS has to drive separate, then you'd be welcome to join me. I'm taking The Fifth. That part of the trip is set in stone. If it's MNS/I in The Fifth and you in the truck, a convoy would be nice. We could meet up in Forest Lake or something.

Ok, all of that sounds good to me. I think I'd like to go to the draft, if the tickets are free, but I'll have to find someone else to go with if I'm doing that.

I'd go, but I just don't want to put in the effort to obtaining a ticket. :D And the tickets are free.
