Is that the small station along the Cedar Ave frontage road (not technically a frontage road, but close enough)? If it's the one I'm thinking of, it gets weird service routes.

And this is the first post from my new laptop. The keyboard isn't horrible, but I do miss my ergonomic keyboard. I'm going to setup a docking station for home. Either I'll buy a real one, or I'll figure out something.

What kind did you get? I got an HP a few months ago. It's ok. For what I use them for I find myself on the iPad about 95% of the time.

I got an HP g7, 17.3" screen. It was about $520 for a whole lot of features with decent power. It'll do everything I need, but it's definitely no gaming machine. It could be better, could be worse. I just didn't want to drop a huge amount of cash, but I didn't want to get some tiny netbook. And it had to have an internal dvd drive. It turns out this one has a blu-ray drive.

Gonna keep that in mind. My lappy is still churning on, surprisingly, but I know its days are numbered.

Ready to throw something. Hard drive is telling me it is on the way to being fried. Tried to back it up. not happening. Not enough space on hard drive (external). Go get a new 2 TB drive to offload before I take it in for service. 3 hrs later and I still can't get the effing thing to connect or back up. Keeps telling me not enough space. Friggin thing is empty. This isn't good. I don't want to spend the $ to pay for them to back it up.

That's what I have. 1tb with the bells and whistles. Nice machine but I rarely use it.

Edit. Mrs g uses it quite a bit though.

It is the one right where 13 and Cedar meet.

Mine only has the 750GB. Options were available for the larger, but I have an external drive should things get to be too much.

Agreed. Our machine is bigger than what we need. However, in comparing it to Apple products it was a bargain. ;)

Yeah, very much so.

And Apple sucks. When visiting divadork I tried using their Apple....oh. My. God. Horrible. I was like a monkey...well, you know the saying. Terrible in the user-friendly department.

Plus, the whole price thing.

I like my iPhone, hate their computers. My friend's wife has a Mac AirBook(?), and that thing and I did not get along the one time I tried to use it.

I still use a normal mouse when I can. It's more of a "feel" thing. That mousepad thingy is too touchy for my needs. And that part of the Apple using wasn't even a factor in my trial run. And I even went into that with an open mind. "This is the best computer. Time to try it out." NOPE.

Besides price, I think Apple is awesome. I have the iPhone and the iPad and I think they are very user friendly. However, I use my devices for pretty basic stuff.

Your monkey comment reminds me of the scene from Zoolander.

On another topic entirely, I chopped off all my hair tonight. It had been about 5" long, grown out so I could manage it with one hand while in the sling, but it was driving me nuts for the last few days as hair was getting into my eyebrows, making them itch and creating a distraction at the edge of my vision. My hair is now #4 long.

I went #1 sides & back & #2 on top about 4 years ago and haven't looked back. Don't miss my mane at all.

I have my Kindle for basic 'net purposes, and music (I Heart Radio is awesome). Other than that, I just go with my lappy. I don't demand much from my comp, but I do want it NOW NOW NOW.

I'm getting a bit long. If I can comb it, it's time to start thinking about trimming it back to a buzzcut. Prob will do that this weekend.
