I did catch a nap today after I got back from the bank, but I'm upset that I took the quarter off school to catch up on the house and I'm still not getting anywhere with it.

And for that matter, I just fired up the YAP and sent a round of rep out.
Actually just woke up from a nap here. Came in from doing chores, and the couch was looking inviting.

Also went and picked up the study guide to the national certification exam I'm taking next month. Dang thing was almost 50 bucks. But should make sure that I can ace that exam.

Back home! And I get to stay here until Monday or Tuesday.

Didn't get the stuff figured out in Green Bay, the final call was that the engines are seriously ****ed and its not our problem, they're getting sent back to the factory so they can figure out and fix their **** up.

Back from the track meet. Snowing. Slick roads. Worse to come. Yay.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Apparently our great very tanned leader  was in Green Bay today. I have never seen so many cops and other government vehicles lining the road as I did on US 41 today. Every exit, every turn around every half mile along the side of the road, they were everywhere.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Straight horizontal snow coming down at probably close to 2"/hour... lots of fun coming your way new england. Skiing tomorrow if they close school.

Actually, the groom on an elephant thing is a Hindu custom.

Did TBA ride one?

Sort of. They tossed him in the trunk.

You should have seen the Leamington Ramp (Pahking Garage to you easterners) when the RNC was in town. The thing looked like a fortress, with buses and police vehicles barricading all but one way in and two ways out. There were even patrols along the roofline, and I think I saw one of them carrying a sniper rifle. It was crazy. I also saw snipers along the roof of the X in St. Paul when I took a stroll around that area. I took the week off to act like a tourist, but I didn't riot.

And for those tracking, we're now up to 23 days between Ralph Reps.

When Clinton visited tUMD when I attended there, half the city was shut down. We had to pass a checkpoint that required a quick background check just to get into the airport to watch Air Force One land. As for his speech, we had to show ID, go through metal detectors, etc etc. Saw a couple snipers atop of some buildings, all that jazz.

Given that we were in line a few hours before his speech (first come, first serve seating) we got to chat with one of the Secret Service guys. When asked if he'd take cover if someone tried to do harm to the president, his answer (stone cold expression): "My job isn't to take cover." What made it kind of funny is that he looked like an accountant with a midlife crisis, not a SS agent.

Just a heads-up to the morning people (you know who you are): we have a live one in D1. It's hysterical.

Believe it of not, I have not been keeping track of exactly when I Rep everyone. I do add that there are 20 people on my Rep list twice, and thus they receive Rep twice as frequently from me. :)

What I can never understand is why they always feel another thread is necessary. It's not as if this is the first ECAC-is-weak thread this season.

N00Bs are lazy Ralph. That or they think they got the argument that's really worth having a new thread. Either way, I say we mock him with talk of the USCHO consessions. ;)

Grrrrrrrr.... Can't sleep right now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Yawn. Woke up at 5am?!?! NYC public schools are closed... if we don't close, riots will occur. Probably about a foot it seems like.

He's just POed because Maine sucks and isn't in the tourney, therefore they must fix PWR so Maine is in. Maybe Maine could win a few games and fix that but its easier to ***** about the ECAC. Huh thats the way the Maine players feel most of the time also, lets take the easy route.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

SNOWDAY!! WOOHOOO!! SKIING!!!

Sorry, but we usually don't get nice things at school. It truly is the place where fun goes to die. Except today.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Yep. I could try to spell my name in the snow from the 7th floor. :D

yes, yes, 1,000x yes.

Morning lodge. Closing date pushed back a month because the bank is sandbagging on the house the sellers are trying to buy. Jerks.
