Morning, Lodge! Made it back in NH in one piece yesterday. Roads weren't too terrible, but the wind was brutal. Had to shovel a bit (tcbg's brother shoveled the driveway, but the local plows filled in the bottom with snow :mad: ). Watched part of the N.O. game and then passed out. Working and registering for an EMT class today. :)

Expensive day....need to get a new starter & have an oil leak fixed on my car. Did get a fun loaner though, '10 Acura ZDX. :)

Morning Lodge. I think my sister-in-law jinxed our snow here in Merry-land. She wrote on Facebook about the "guaranteed 2-4 inches" so we got a dusting. The winds have been crazy. Yesterday was spent laughing at my family trying to secure a piece of siding that was blowing around. It's up by the roof and not budging the last bit, but it was flying around everywhere.

I got out of New England just in time to take a 10 second sustained 50 mph (personal estimate) blast on my walk home from the subway station. That was easily more ridiculous than shovelling out the cars in the morning in the 20-30 mph winds and powdered snow.

My coffee machine isn't working right; pour the water, it percolates, but the pot isn't filling up. Not sure what's wrong or how to fix it... oh well.

Last night... as the pilot said "the first three minutes and the last three minutes will be rather bumpy but the middle should be smooth". I don't think I realized how much I missed being home though... the extra day was worth it despite a lot of it being tied up in checking on the weather.

Apparently. Very quiet in here today. Trying to get some tech issues resolved so I can register for this EMT class. Only 2 spots left and they don't return messages and don't answer emails particularly promptly. Annoying to say the least... (Granted, I waited until the last minute - class starts on 1/3, but still...)

Just got my semester grade - so far a 4.0. :)

Had coffee in there, but nothing was happening. That being said, I'm not too disappointed. I was looking to buy a French press and this just might be the sign I needed.

Evening, Lodge. Spent a good 15 minutes this afternoon talking cheese with The Cheese Lady; picked up some Gruyere and some English Cheddar for ham, gruyere, and apple paninis tomorrow night. Might even take it to the next level and try making a croque monsieur. :D
