Late start this AM. sigh.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Obi Wan Canobie Lake Park? :D

Hee! Actually, it's CAN-obie Lake, not Ca-NO-bie. But I may use that.

We were allowed to bring family. I asked my sister-in-law if I could take her kids off her hands for that day as they live the next town over from the park, and love going there, and really, they'd probably enjoy it more than me anyway. Naturally, they left for vacation today so they can't join me. I had asked her while at lunch with her and my parents. My mom goes "Then can Dad and I go?" I thought for a moment and said "Sure! You're family!" So my parents are coming with me. Heh. My mom is stoked! She's never been. And it's a really nice day today, so it should be fun.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Yeah, thats like 3-4 tries now isn't it? :(

What isn't working? They can't get the tube in there?

Maybe I don't want to know actually.
Check your rep... don't want to post it in public...

MNS:  Good luck to your friend!

Shirtless Bob: dammmn. I hope the medical procedures are done with, and your body heals itself ASAP.

LwB: My condolences. :(

Lodge: Good evening. Back from a trip east, an interview this morning (crossing my fingers) and a day of work. Oh, and this poll sucks. :p ;)
The procedures are done for awhile because I'm calling an end to them. I don't want to feel the way I felt after leaving the hospital yesterday...

Good morning, Lodge. Time to get ready for work.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

morning Lodge.

So, I sit reserve, since I'm junior at my company (not really, they just didn't integrate us fairly when they brought us over from Lynx). Reserve means I fly when someone calls in sick/fatigued. Normally, these calls at a typical airline are fairly low (fatigue calls are serious business in my industry and sick calls often get you a call from the chief pilot wondering why). At Republic, however, they are seeing an astronomical number of sick calls/fatigue calls, which is forcing them to stretch their reservists to the limits. Why is this happening, you ask? Because our schedulers have no idea how to properly staff an airline. There should be enough reservists around so that none of them break what we call "guarantee". We're guaranteed 75 hours of pay a month, regardless of how little we fly. Anything over 75 hours is money. Reservists should never break 75 hours, since that's all they are guaranteed. Does that happen here? *k no. I'm at 93 credit hours for the month, and it's *king August 19th. I'm exhausted, all the other pilots are exhausted, and the company is saying we're "properly" or even "overstaffed".

Sorry for the rant, but they wonder why everyone is calling in sick? When we get no time to spend with our families or do things we need to do, that's the only option. Staff the airline properly so we can drop trips and have someone else pick them up!

Today is my furlough-friday-forced-vacation saturday. Four day weekend *****es.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Hello, Lodge. Friday for me as well since I'm traveling to CT tomorrow and the family I nanny for is going camping for the weekend. Not too terribly upset about the short week as it has been exhausting. I now understand why my mom was so tired all the time when my siblings and I were younger! :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

In-laws arrive today for a five-day stay. Should be a good time: we're going camping Fri-Sat nights, and he's a beer fan.

Good day, Lodge!

Duplicate post from the NHL thread:

Attention everyone, I'd like you all to try and contain your laughter, the Thrashers have gone out and signed a free-agent defenseman. Someone who is quite infamous around this forum.

The Thrashers have signed...

Freddy Meyer. (HACK!)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

I hate cell phones. I'm thinking of going back to a landline with voicemail.

I want to get a new phone, as my current contract is up, and I dislike Verizon and my current phone. Sprint has a phone that I really like and have heard good things about. They also have a very cheap calling plan which would work well for me. Of course, the phone I want is not available on Sprint.com. Great. I go to Best Buy's website. They have the phone, but they don't offer the cheap plan. W T F?

I'm right here. Waiting to go out to celebrate my buddy's first job offer out of college.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

One more day on day shift, then I'm done with that and go back to nights in a little over a week. Training has been fun, but it'll be nice to get back to my daily routine again - going to bed at 8pm and getting up by 5am simply doesn't suit me.

I'm in the liquor aisle and a 10 yr old boy yells, "My favorite beer is Corona! Daddy remember when you gave me some on our camping trip?"
