Where is everyone today?
Nannying 4 little girls. It's quite a job!
I like it also, pretty easy to suck down when its hot
:D *snort* *giggle*

Hello, Lodge. Made steak (okay, tcbg grilled it) and homemade baked potato nachos (cut up potatos, cover in some evoo and spices, bake, then top like nachos). Good way to end the week. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

It's 10:30 at night and it's still 84 degrees in the house. I've got to rethink the idea of keeping the air off until the end of the weekend. It's supposed to be warmer than they forecasted a few days ago. It was great until I got home from work today.

If I know it's gonna be unbearable, I crank the air at night (when it's cheaper) and when I wake up, the apt is ice cold. Then I just turn it to "low fan" or whatever, and that usually holds until I get home.

If you have central air, keep it slightly warmer than normal throughout the day, then when you get home, crank it for an hour or so. It's cheaper and just as effective.

Nothing about the homemade salsa? :( :p

With in 10 mi of the border you can get beer, wine and spirits in the grocery store.
I always forget about that law; I never really shop in that part of Mass.

Isn't the person who gets a raise or new job supposed to buy a round? I feel ripped off.

So, just registered in a buddies FFL. My team name? Big Ben's Bendovers. I love making fun of football players stupidity:D

Going golfing tomorrow morning, shot pretty well last friday, but couldn't do much around the greens or on them, simply no feel with that being my 2nd round since january, and only my 4th since last summer. Hopefully I can break 90 tomorrow and feel good about the round.

Good morning, Lodge. Oatmeal is in the oven, worked on cleaning up my mise en place for a little bit, now it's time to balance the checkbook.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

That's a new one. It used to be that a business could only have 3 licenses in the state, effectively eliminating the grocery and convenience store chains (who each have 3 licenses). The 10 mile rule to NH used to be a Sunday opening rule, to allow stores in towns that were within 10 miles of the border to open on Sundays, as long as the town approved it. I've been gone a few years though.
See below. That's where I go too.

Yup. The Hannaford in Dracut has a pretty decent liquor selection, actually.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! funky friday is here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Good morning from VacationDayLand. I have to give a four hour training seminar Tuesday, hopefully being away from the office means I can actually get it done.

Morning Lodge

Not much posting these days due to work being really busy. I've been here over 10 months now and have carved out a really nice niche in this business. Now there's a whisper in the wind to recruit me back to corporate since they're looking to upgrade the business system to a newer version. Not likely I'll do that. Working for a profitable division has given me the best raise I've had in ten years, quarterly bonuses, Higher profit sharing contributions and an awesome group of colleagues. I like my former co-workers at corporate too, but here there's not as much politics or as many posers. These people really work and as such, I'm really working again too. The days just fly by. I start at 6:15 - 6:30 and am out by 3:00 -3:30. Plus I can speak more "candidly" amongst this group than I could at HQ. Everyone swears like a sailor :p

Good Morning Lodge

Got the papers back from the sellers of the house. Now we can move forward with the mortgage. Everything is going smoothly so far, hopefully it continues this way. Maybe I'll actually get into the house by the end of the month.

I'm starting to put together a plan for the huge bash at my place. If I can get everything done in the next week, we can have it next weekend, but the better plan would probably the weekend after Labor Day. Mark your calendars!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

My wife and I are looking forward to a fun weekend. For my birthday earlier this year, my wife gave me/us a getaway weekend package to Steamboat Springs. We head there this morning for three days and nights. Among the items on the agenda are: an Asleep At The Wheel concert tonight, two rounds of golf at Rollingstone Ranch Golf Course, three nights at a terrific hotel and dinner reservations at some of the top restaurants in Steamboat. The weather guessers seem to be cooperating as they're saying temps will be in the high 70s/low80s with lots of sunshine.

I hope all LODGEONIANS who frequent this board have a nice weekend as well.:)

Good morning Lodge! First Friday in the office since late June! I'm not too thrilled about that.

The one I heard and liked was "Ben's Rothlisrapers."
