Not to mention that the bride and groom are probably cousins if in fact they are from his hometown. :p
Only the groom is from my hometown. He found his bride way up in northwestern MN several years after high school, and not at a family reunion, as far as I know.

Good morning tLodge! Last weekday that I get to sleep in for a while. :( I start working mornings again next week.

Nothing new and exciting here. My SIL and niece are coming by this afternoon to help us clean out the room we will be using as a nursery. With there help, I should be able to get it set up by the end of the weekend. :)

With the group that will be at the hitchin', I'm sure its already on local law enforcement's radar. :p

edit: and this is going to be far from a city slicker event. This is the same group that combined guns, old race trucks, beer, AC/DC, a 1981 motorhome, and a 2 mile dirt track last weekend for a bachelor party. And it was awesome.
Is it wrong that this sounds like a good time to me?

Morning Lodge.

Who wants to go to New Hampshire with me on Oct 16th?

My friend just bailed, despite having agreed 2 months ago. It's the same weekend as the Detroit marathon which his wife and sister are running, but he should have already known that.

grrr. stupid cancellations. Anyway, the trip I was planning was going to be Boston on Oct 15th to watch a hockey game at Northeastern. Then to UNH the 16th to see Michigan play. I am sad now. :(

Maybe I will stay home and go to the football game, it is homecoming so I can get a cheap ticket and play on the field.
I'd go, but I think Maggie will still be too young for me to travel. Email tCBG and 'Ewe, they may be around that weekend. (I say 'may' because I know they have some travel plans for October as well.)

All the more reason to lock up the women and children. The only thing that makes this event somewhat civilized is that it is being held in my town. ;)

Good morning. The weather jockeys are giving Denver a break this weekend. Temps are only going to reach the mid-to-high 80s today after giving triple digits a run for their money yesterday. By Sunday the temps are supposed to dial back to the high seventies.

I hope all LODGEONIANS have a terrific weekend. :)

Mornin' Loj! Nothing like 12 hrs of work to cram into an 8 hr day on a Friday. Blah. Hoping everyone else's day is swell. Cheers!

I've said it before: I'm moving in with you and Mrs. Shot.

SB, One of the dinners my wife prepares which is a favorite of mine is stuffed peppers. Earlier this week there was a family gathering at the home of one of my sisters-in-law. For that event my wife made a Southwestern-limezest rice dish, When making the dish my wife knew she'd be making stuffed peppers later in the week, so she kept some of the rice dish to use when making the peppers. On a whim, last night she tried adding a dash of tequila to to the rice mixture before making the stuffed peppers. The results were outstanding. Here at Chez Shot the residents are well fed. ;)

Have a good weekend.

I want to fly out for a week and take lessons from your wife. That just sounds amazing!

12 miles in the books. :)

Sounds like the only thing missing is a Stars and Stripes Speedo-clad hick!
