Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Pulled a Ralph this morning with a dentist appt... another year with no cavities (22 now :) ) but one of my sealants has come apart, so I have to go back next week to get it fixed before going back to school in 10 days.

I had to have mine redone several years ago, after my braces were removed. Last time I was in there, they told me I was going to need $1500 worth of crown work within a few years. I'm starting to think I picked the wrong career. :p

Or maybe not. The boss poked his head in the door not too long ago to announce that the whole office is going out to lunch tomorrow on the company's dime. Sounds like maybe we landed the major client they've been chasing after. ;)

Question for the Lodge, has anyone ordered anything from NCAA On Demand, the place that sells the championship DVD's? I'm looking to get the NMU championship, and was wondering if I'd get the whole thing or some crappy highlight footage.

I bought a copy of the 1985 NCAA championship game. It was the entire game, but it did not include the intermission or pregame discussions. (I know because I have a tape that I made at the time which has been deteriorating and since it was Beta I also had it transferred to DVD.)

I've had about twice as many meals on the company in the last 3 weeks than I've had to pay for myself. But this is only my 4th day at my desk in the last 3 weeks also, since I've been in Grand Forks so much I may as well get an apartment there.

Mrs. g and the boys are gone for the night. Party at my pad tonight! ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Soñ it looks like I can take some of the clothes from the shoot. Two Anne Klein suits, a Banana Republic sweater, a Jones NY blouse and a few other things. Not sure if I'm getting it all, but I will be able to walk away with a few new things.

Woohoo! Go Scarlet. We, of course, expect to see photos of you modeling said clothes. ;)

ETA: Had PT today, She said my progress in the past two weeks was amazing. I guess it works to push harder and live with some more pain in order to increase the range of motion.

And Little Sister will get them as hand-me-downs, right? ;)

Popsicles and iced tea for dinner tonight. I have no appetite and it's *king hot here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Wonderful time on the links today. My wife and I played Indian Tree in Arvada, a course I'd not played in five or six years. I hit it well off the tee, but hit some poor approach shots with my irons. I had three sixes on my scorecard--uncharacteristic for me--which partially explains my eighty-two for the day. Had my iron play been better, especially with my short irons, a seventy-eight would have been well within reach. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this course. We'll return before the golf season ends.

Now it's time for a shower, some frozen margs, stuffed peppers for dinner and fresh cantaloupe for dessert. Perhaps a trip to the neighborhood ice cream store as well. I sense a double scoop of cappucino crunch may be in our near-term future.;) Have a good evening folks.

Yep, sometime it pays to "SUCK IT UP CUPCAKE!!"

WOOHOO!!! Totally rocked out my NMT practical today. Scored a 98 on it which is DAM good on that test. Was kinda mad about the 2 points I missed on it, just didn't quite use the right techniques on 2 of the 6 random muscles they gave me to work on after my routine. If only I had started studying a few days sooner..... But I digress. Either way, a good day overall for me. Not so much for my partner who brainfarted a bit on his practical on me. they gave him Semitendinosus, and he worked Biceps Femoris, which is the hamstring that goes to the other side of the knee than the Semi's. Was so mentally screaming that at him so that he could catch himself and recover those points.... Oh well.

Celebration time Beytches!!!! Barkeep! Margarita's all around!!!!

Morning all. I am feeling the best today that I have felt in a long time. Which could mean two things. One, I finally figured out how to manage my anemia and I got enough sleep or two, I am experiencing that last minute burst of energy that mom's get right before going into labor. I'm going with one since I was in bed for almost 12 hours last night.

I hope you ate a good breakfast! You're going to need all the energy you can muster!
Awesome; let me know how you're managing your anemia... I need all the help I can get.

I've said it before: I'm moving in with you and Mrs. Shot.

Thats what I've heard that most of them have.

Way to go!

Evening, Lodge. Bad day at work, but I turned it around by marinating chicken thighs in a garlic-mustard sauce, grilling them on the Foreman for 5 minutes, and serving them with potatoes and a zucchini/summer squash medley tossed in olive oil and italian seasoning.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Absolutely! :) I did not get the Jones NY blouse but I got everything else. I'm psyched. I didn't realize we got to keep the clothes. There was also an awesome dress from H&M that I loved but was too small. The wardrobe lady was like "What size? When I go return this I'll just get that size and send it to you." Ha!

The weather here is so weird. We were in San Rafael all day and it was gorgeous - clear blue sky and warm. On the drive home, we were approaching the Golden Gate Bridge and could not see it because of the fog. Within the city on the way to the hotel it was clear. But when we got out of the car, man....it was like 15 degrees colder, and windy.

On the way to the wrap party tonight. I don't think there will be any drunk posting tonight as the wireless I ordered from the hotel runs out around 10pm (which was the time I ordered the last 24 hours). I'm checking out in the morning and we'll be out all day. I'm taking the red-eye home tomorrow night. Not looking forward to that. But I think we'll get a chance to get some sightseeing in tomorrow. Possibly going to try and go to Alcatraz. And then up to Muir Woods and also Sausilito.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Congrats Monster!

Good for Scarlet. Aren't those micro-climates fun. I lived in the Oakland hills and one day I could see the city in fog and the radio said it was ~60 there, it was ~85 where I was, I drove through the tunnel towards Walnut Creek and the bank clock said 102. This is all within about 25 miles!
