Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Home sweet home after 3 months out on the ocean and touring Europe. Got home last night around 5 after sticking around NYC for Saturday to see the Yankees/Boston game.

I was selected from ~200 seniors to steer the ship in from the anchorage, then swapped with another senior at the statue of liberty, very cool honor that I'll remember for the rest of my life. Our captain then introduced me and 2 others to the head of the selection committee for the NY pilot association, which would be a tremendous job opportunity in the future if I can get accepted into their apprentice pilot program once applications open in Jan 2012.

It was a pretty uneventful trip, I'll give a nice recap of the 5-6 places we visited in a couple days hopefully. Now its time to relax for 2 weeks before RA training begins on the 22nd.
Welcome home!

Very Cool!!! Welcome back!! :D

In a car driving around the UC Berkeley campus. Scouting areas where we will be shooting. We've been on the road all day. I'm exhausted.
:D
This could be misinterpretted pretty disasterously. :p
Yep.

It does make it sound like she drove down from her shack in Montana, doesn't it?
Same thing I was thinking.
Good point. Fire at will.

Any school where people protest the expansion of sports facilities by living in the trees that had to be chopped down should die in a fire.
And all those officals really there at Berkley would be to just go around and girdle the trees, effectively killing them, while leaving them upright. Once the rest of it dies, they'll come down. That or they should have just kept chainsaws running there 24/7.

Will he lure brent by coating his dick with nicotine?

Not even sure how I'm going to wash that mental image out of my mind.......

Learn to ignore it. Half the time, I know what he's gonna say (or very close to it) so it's already blocked by the time he thinks of it. ;)

Leaving for WI tomorrow, to deliver the groom to his homeland and be with his fiancee. Will obviously check in, due to my Ralphus Baeritis, but if you don't hear from me, send help. ;)

I don't think you expected that specific remark. It was one of the more random ones I've made in awhile.

Horrible exchange between me and the roommate this morning - the Fox9 news (local) had a trivia question which asked what cheerios used to be called - and one of the options was "o-rings"... which led to this:
Me - "They called the cereal o-rings? I guess that went out the window when the challenger blew up."
Him - "Imagine the marketing: 'now with astrobits!'"
Me - "The box would have to warn of catastrophic failure at cold temperatures."
Him - "They could add marshmallows that expand into spaceships when hit with milk - and then they would spontaneously combust."
Me - "And in specially-marked boxes, they could offer up bits of the Columbia... some of that foam crap from the fuel tank... maybe a charred booster rocket toy..."

Yep, we're taking the express route to hell, I think.

Pretty cool stuff! Welcome home!

Got all my stuff moved into tcbg's place. Got a job, though sort of unexpected - nanny. Working Thursday this week, then full time starting next week. Just trying to relax a bit, settle in, organize and unpack.
