Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Did she keep her original/ethnic name, or did she Americanize it?

changed it.

she was given pongsavanh. pongsavanh yupadee (first name / middle name). changed it to vanesha. goes by vanh.

also had some longazzed last name there, since her dad is chinese. only thai nationals have 'regular' length last names. others have names that are 30 letters and 5 or 6 syllables. they took her dad's moms maiden last name when they came here, which is much shorter. that woman, girls grandmother, is here and still alive.

Morning Lodge.

Went out until bar close last night with the other engineer that I'm working with here at UND. Had a great time. We ended up playing shuffleboard with 2 gorgeous ladies (who both had rings, and I wasn't going to be that guy). Just a bit tired this morning, but feel fine. I love not getting hangovers. :D
Whitey's, huh? :D
unless another bar got shuffleboard that I don't know about
That bar was much better when I could drink for free on Mondays...still a pretty nice place though.
she turned 43 yesterday according to her drivers license. she says she is at least 45 or 46. her sister with the braces and curls would be two years older next month (45 or 48).
Good Lord. mookie wins the thread.

:D

You should have her change it to ping-pong, and then you can paddle her repeatedly.

I saw it. I liked it. It was relatively cheap. Bit it had the small V6 (it was an '03 CTS). If I'm buying a Caddy, I'm leaning towards the V8. Yeah, it's almost 8 years old, but it looked good. They only wanted $10K for it. If I was seriously in the market for a vehicle I might have gone down there Monday night and bought it.

Yeah, I could see why you gave it some thought. If it had been taken care of properly, not betten to hell and back, 10K for that would have been a steal.

Had another long day of studying today. Was using a hanging skeleton at school to go thru my muscle attachments, to make sure I've got them, when the nut at the top of the thing that allows it to spin around had spun out of the bolt, and it all fell in a heap on the floor. And then I realise that it had snapped the both of the bolts that were used to keep the femurs to the pelvis. Given that its happened before with him, I don't think I'm going to be in that big of trouble with the school. He already has a fractured skull, several broken ribs, a missing tooth, and the lower left leg was already MIA when I started there a year ago. Still, I'm contimplating a plan using electric fence wire to reattach his femurs. Will try it out on the left, see if it works.

Just back from errands. Took car in to get detailed in and out. Shopped a little at Home Depot and Sam's.

Date tonight since the kid is out of town at a buddy's cabin. Trying the River Boat Grill in Greyeagletown. Don't expect much from the cuisine, but it's a neat location and we got a gift certificate for it from my sister a while back.

It spit a little rain today in 612/952land. Just enough to make sure it's getting steamy now that the sun is out. :(

Hot one in Denver today. Just back from the driving range in advance of a round tomorrow at a favorite course. It's definitely time for a tall glass of iced tea. I hope everyone's weekend is going well. :)

Not a good start, but it'll get better. Going to hang out on Lake Minnetonka for a bit, then hit the downtown Mpls bars and have a couple. I'm pretty sure SENANICANS will be in play.

'Afternoon, Lodge.
@ShirtlessBob: Sorry, but I got a buyer here on the Espresso Maker.

Mostly...I have to work tomorrow morning. I'll be taking it somewhat easy since I have to get my car home. Unless I can get out to your place without my car somehow then SENANICANS can be in play. :p

Hmmm, for a free drink or two, I'm thinking DD? :D

Edit: I don't have my Jeep. Have my brother's sedan (for the gas mileage aspect for my trip).
