Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

My Brother, his wife and I have been cleaning out my parents house for most of the day. What a pain, stuff that was packed when they moved from Orono was still packed in this house:D . I have a 20 cubic yard dumpster thats slowly but surely getting filled up.. We found 3 huge silver serving trays from days gone by. Back when things were a little more formal then they are now

Its Saturday and I can't get myself to relax... woof.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Evening, Lodge. Spent the day sweating in a slightly different wool coat than normal. But, I'm having a beer, so I feel good now. :)

Evening tLodge, spent the day taking it easy. Which is exactly what the doctor ordered. I had another trip to the hospital on Thursday afternoon into Friday evening. Maggie is fine, she is right where she should be. The question at this point is how long she will stay there. (so if any of you were thinking of starting a 'when will the baby arrive' pool you might want to do so soon. :o

(Of course, now that I have said that she'll be two weeks late. :D )

she thinks. she came here when she was "12" and started in 6th grade. she said her dad didn't really understand the forms when they were filling them out and he just made up dates/years/etc. according to the state she is three months older than i, but she says she is really, probably, maybe a couple of years.
Ah, that makes sense.

Evening, Lodge. Talked to an old friend tonight for 20 minutes; made up for another crappy day.

Also, picked up some fresh whitefish today at the farmer's market and am turning it into whitefish en papillote with zucchini and tomatoes and citrus rice for tomorrow's dinner.

Yep, that sounds excellent.

Dinner here was smoked pork loin - it was untreated, unbrined pork too, so it picked up a really excellent smoky flavor to complement the delicate flavor of the pork itself. We had corn on the cob, some green beans and tomatoes from the garden, and a Schell's Zommerfest to round out the meal. :)

I had leftover Chinese food.

I'm jealous. I didn't have "breakfast" until 10... I didn't have anything to eat after that until 5... so while I feel like I should have a "dinner"... I'm not in the mood.

Ah, that makes sense.

Keep her in there!!
(And, you're probably right. A girl who stood in my friends' wedding with me fought pre-term labor all during her pregnancy, and wound up being induced at 42 weeks! I hope for your sake Maggie makes her grand arrival on time without medical intervention!)

I had leftover Chinese food.

And Little Sister had a cheese quesadilla and wine. I know I said no alcohol until the race, but today was a day. It involved an only semi-successful jewelry purge and a shyteton of painful flashbacks.

Regarding your other post on the matter, I think you may have gotten hosed on the deal (considering gold is currently over $1200/ounce.) Still, it sounds like a good thing to finally have that monkey off your back. :)

What constitutes semi-successful? Not as much $$$ as you had anticipated?

Yeah, I realize that. However, that thing needed to be gone. The first place I checked was going to offer far less than what the second place gave me, so what I got sounded good in comparison. Leave it to Marquette to have the fucking pawn shop close so I had to go through actual jewelry stores to deal with my problem.
Still, it's gone. They're going to give me the "*diamonds" back so I can sell them if I can find a buyer, but the actual piece is gone.

*and if they're not actually diamonds, then I'm organizing a lynching mob to go to Northern WI.
