Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Evening tLodge, spent the day taking it easy. Which is exactly what the doctor ordered. I had another trip to the hospital on Thursday afternoon into Friday evening. Maggie is fine, she is right where she should be. The question at this point is how long she will stay there. (so if any of you were thinking of starting a 'when will the baby arrive' pool you might want to do so soon. :o

(Of course, now that I have said that she'll be two weeks late. :D )

Ah, that makes sense.
cross your legs:D

Hi all! I'm back. What's been happening besides lil legal trying to arrive before her time?

So, this Bauer character is a pretty good posting puppy. PB is putting together his kennel, and Bauer has no interest in doing anything other than napping on my lap.

*and if they're not actually diamonds, then I'm organizing a lynching mob to go to Northern WI.

I'll bring the torches. :D

Morning Lodge. Day of reserve in Denver. Nothing on schedule yet for today, meaning I'm going bike riding! And later Quiz and I are going to hit the reservoir for open water swimming.

Good morning, Lodge. Don't exactly know what passed through my system the past few days, but I'm feeling better this morning.

Also, I dragged out the old YAP and fired off some rep to the tune of "Red Rubber Ball" by Cyrkle.

Okay. Watching the neighbor trim his bushes across the street. He's got a white tarp that he wraps around each bush before he trims. It's like he thinks he's at the barbershop or something. Dude, it's a bush. Trim it, then chop up the trimmings when you mow.

Morning.

Pleasant surprise in that my Renter's return money was auto-deposited by the government on 8/6. Didn't notice it till today.

I wasn't even thinking about it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

I feel surprisingly good after last night/yesterday, considering the massive amounts of booze we all drank. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Bauer had an awesome first night. Granted, he hogged more of the bed than I usually do, and that's saying a lot, but he was still really good :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Its been a pretty good weekend. I'll just post the cliff notes. :p

At about 3 on Friday as I was leaving UND to head to my buddy's house in Thief I got a call from my realtor. The bank accepted my offer on the house, finally, after about 5 months. I'll probably be closing by the end of the month. Then we had a quiet Friday night, met my friend's fiance. He actually lives in a very small town close to Thief, not Thief River Falls itself. We went to the local bar/liquor store in his small town to get ice for the bachelor party beer. We ended up getting 40 lbs of ice, a 6 pack of Nordeast (buddy hadn't tried it) and 2 mixed drinks to go. :p

Saturday was great. Started with grilling burgers for lunch, then we went trap shooting. I haven't shot trap in about 10 years, so I wasn't expecting to hit much. Ended up not doing to badly and won the competition, against all the guys that shoot regularly. Got a $20 Cabela's gift card for that. Then we went back to the house and started drinking. After a while we grilled brats and about 30 people showed up. Behind the house they had a dirt track, probably about a 2 mile lap, and we raced a Ranger and an S10 for most of the night, until we rolled the Ranger trying to pass going into a corner and took it too fast. My buddy and I were in the S10 and saw them roll right in front of us. It was awesome. The guys didn't even have a scratch on them. Everyone else came rushing out into the field to make sure they were ok, so then we all flipped the Ranger back onto its wheels (from its roof), started it up and drove it back. Engine ran fine, but the drivetrain was effed, clutch probably.

Today I drove back to Grand Forks. The Hilton was booked full, so I went to the CanadInn and they upgraded me to a suite for free, so I'm sitting in my personal jacuzzi and watching the Twins on a huge LCD TV.

To top it all off, I think I have plans with the lovely waitress to go out to eat next Thursday. :D

Yeah, pretty sweet weekend.
