So Lodge, I'm in the Cities, and I'm quite bored. How old does one have to be to go to the casino in this lovely state?

The traffic may be bad, but at least I know where I am.

Yuck, I feel unclean. I just had to pay money to the cheesehead state and renew my Engineering registration there. I think I'll go shower now and bring my Visa card in with me. :(

I was going to respond to this 3 hours ago, but ended up having more work pop up in the meantime. Now I just found this open window and realized I never posted. I think I'm pretty busy. :p

Still have much to do, most notably, I have to complete my mid-year performance self-assessment, which was due on Friday. I've already decided that I don't feel like staying here late to work on it, so I'm going to bring the computer home, go to the bar for $0.99 tacos, use their free wireless to do my work, and watch a little of the Twins game. :)

We had a terrific time in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs over the weekend. We ate at two wonderful restaurants: Gertrude's in Old Colorado City and Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs.

Played two good golf courses: Patty Jewett, on which I shot an eighty in large part because of three, three-putt greens on the back nine, apart from bad putting I'd have been 78 or 79; Valley Hi on Sunday, first time I played the course and I parred the eighteenth hole to shoot seventy-nine. Frankly, I'm playing pretty well right now.

One of the very nice moments of the weekend came this morning after breakfast when the owner of the establishment at which we stayed told us she was picking up the charge for our third night's stay. We then sat with her for an hour drinking coffee and chatting. Wonderful place and we'll certainly return, as we do each summer.

I hope everyone's week's is getting/has gotten off to a good start. :)

I'm headed to the course in the next 15 minutes. I fully expect to play Detroit Tiger-esque.
