Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

Checking in from Grand Forks, where surprisingly, it was a perfect day to work outside, except for about an hour in the afternoon when it rained. Wasn't hot or very humid, overcast, with a little breeze, so we got a bunch of work done working outside on the engine that we're going to use for testing.

Since the hotel doesn't get FSN, sitting in the room, listening to the Twins game on the radio, surfing the boards and reading a book. :)

Hey Sioux people, are there public tours of REA? The co-worker technician that came with me up here is a hockey fan, but hasn't seen REA, so we want to go get a tour or something, if possible.

Yes, there are tours. Better check ahead - they might not have people to do them in the summer.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

So, I need a general opinion of the politeness of something.

Person A: Why didn't you clean the bathrooms like you were supposed to?
Person B: Sorry, I was at work all day.
Person A: Well why didn't you do them last night?
Person B: I went home, because my cat died..
Person C: Did you kill it?
Person B: No, the vet put it to sleep this morning.
Person D: (very snobbily) I thought you said it died last night.
Person B: ...
Person D: Don't f*ing get snippy at me. You were the one who said it died last night. I don't feel like dealing with b*tches today.

Needless to say, I need a drink, and wouldn't mind if the Wicked Witch of the East fell victim to this "tornado".

It's a sorority house. You actually expected a group of girls living together to NOT get b*tchy with each other?
Granted, she did catch you on the statement, but the irony of her being that way while saying she didn't want to deal with b*tches is quite glorious.

"Did you kill it?"

That part cracks me up. Uh, yeah, I stabbed it with a fork. JFC she's one dumb beetch.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! wobbly wednesday is here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

Good Morning, Lodge!

We have a pool going on at work about what time they will turn on the air conditioner. They turned it on at 10:30 am yesterday. It was only 90 degrees outside with ridiculous humidity.

You work for a company that specializes in outdoor recreation, right? They're just trying to connect their staff with their customers.

Very much not a "Hostile and Abusive" person but I know this because when I rode into GF last week I saw this big *** billboard advertising the REA and mentioning public tours. The sign is on I29 on the way into town.

Don't forget to slip away from the tour and pee on it somewhere. ;)

Morning!

I am ready for a vacation. I need time to to figure out what I am doing with my job. Love the company, love the people, hate the management of the group I am in.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

That's good. Did they let you keep a video of the endo? It's a pretty cool procedure to have done.

Bummer on having to repeat the colo. Yuck.

what ewe said.
Thanks. Not looking forward to repeating the colo, but oh well...

He hates runners, too.
I've had those days. Today it was so muggy that I had to slow down... hope it's not this way on Saturday!

Good morning, Lodge.

Leaving Kiawah today. :(
Next stop Raleigh-Durham and onto Wintergreen (VA mountains) for a couple nights.

I *think* the REA tours are at 2 and you buy the tickets in the Hostile & Abusive Shop in the arena lobby. Don't sample the Kool-Aid. ;)

I suddenly feel better about my day.

I don't think you need a drink, I think you need to hammer punch someone.
