very nice statie let me off with a warning at 538a this morning. :D

How long was it since your last ticket? If you've had a spotless driving record for a period of years, I think it makes them more apt to just give you a wrist slap. Not getting all whiny and emo helps too.

I once got out of a speeding ticket because my dad did the cop's taxes.

Morning.

Up much earlier today due to the fact I slept in yesterday and took a 4 hour nap later in the day. :o

Coffee and muffin for breakfast. Now the countdown to the WC Final at 1:30.
I had coffee with homemade raisin bread, peanut butter, yogurt, a plum, and a banana. Still wasn't very filling.

Couple other recommendations/comments, take your iron supplements with OJ. The vitamin C will help you absorb the iron. Also, the reason they told you take more B vitamins is that sometimes anemia is caused by a Folic Acid deficiency. Last, caffeine and calcium inhibit the absorption of iron, so don't take your iron with your morning coffee.
I didn't know that about the folic acid deficiency; thanks. And I've been waiting to take my iron until after my morning workout; I either have it with OJ or some fresh fruit.

Ah - we checked for it in the S&S here and it's 5$/lb, which isn't bad actually, less than I thought it would be. We opted for ground turkey though, turkey tacos with homemade guac and some fixins.

Ooh - sounds good. Are you getting a full-degree? If not, how much can you do with a certificate?
I can at least become an assistant, which is a lot better than running demos for Crossmark or Sam's Club or...

Evening, Lodge. I've got three days of demos this week, and then hopefully I'm done.

Leave the low humidity. Take the cannoli.

Er, wait.

IALTO.

Yeah, the humidity can go. If it stays, then I want pea green skies, high winds, and torrential downpours with a crapload of thunder and lightning.

This. Preferably pea-sized or smaller hail, though, unless all the huge ones fall somewhere unpopulated.

Never cared about hail, really. I just like a good show, and hail doesn't really add anything but possible damage.

Weekend 2 of NMT in the books. Holy Shibby!!! I thought it was bad having all of my shoulder worked on earlier, until we did the lower leg this afternoon.   All about sweating bullets, screaming bloody murder, kicking or punching our partners, breaking stuff. I'm pretty sure I was one of the worst ones on the first half of the trade. Only thing that kept me going thru it was muttering, "Incomplete List of Inpolite Words!" over and over again. I'm pretty sure we all about violated the Geneva Convention on the use of Torture on each other. I'll do have to give NMT props on one thing though, it does feel great when you stop! That, and now my left leg is now looser as well, to go along with my left shoulder. Hope we do get thru all of the routines again this week just to even myself out now.

Hail is bad for roofs, cars, and crops.

Uh, no sh*. I said it only adds possible damage. :p

It's not fun to see, it adds nothing to the visual or aural aspect of a good storm, hence, I don't care about it.

You should care about it in the sense of not wanting it to happen.

High wind is a better outcome, as long as it doesn't get *too* high (i.e. over 60 mph or so).

I've probably only seen hail 3-4 times in my life, and the largest has been marble-sized (once, this year) and the rest, not even pebble sized, hardly noticeable.

Sure, there are limits to winds, just like there are limits to lightning (cloud-to-ground, etc).

You're just too analytical to appreciate a good storm.

Wrong. Analyzing is part of the appreciation process.

I can't believe you've only seen hail that many times. I've seen it at least once a year pretty much every year (largest: golfball size - and it hailed so much that there were drifts of it 6" deep). I've also seen a microburst where the wind briefly topped 100mph and did ****loads of damage (including stoplights turned the wrong way).

Can be, but you're missing out on the "awe" part. :p

I haven't seen hail much recently, but it wouldn't surprise me to see it again this year. Seemed like it was more common back in the early 90s, in that string of flood years.

I know, it's odd. I know there's been hail many more times than that, I'm just talking personally witnessing it.

And downbursts, I've been through one major one while at work, and have been through some good straightline winds overall. Windows were bowing in, couldn't open any door on any side of the building (they all open towards the outside), it was weird. I swore it was due to a tornado, but the weather guys said it was a downburst/microburst. It was crazy. The roads around my work were impassable due to fallen branches and such.

You don't have to be awe-struck to appreciate something.

I saw it (not much, but a bit) last month.

Brent - microbursts produce winds that are equal to EF1 tornadoes - so if you can't actually see what's going on at the time, you wouldn't know the difference.
