You don't have to be awe-struck to appreciate something.

I saw it (not much, but a bit) last month.

Brent - microbursts produce winds that are equal to EF1 tornadoes - so if you can't actually see what's going on at the time, you wouldn't know the difference.

That crazy quick sh*storm, right? Or was that the night you didn't get anything, and where the NW suburbs got pounded (it was on a Fri, I know that much). That's the night I saw the marble-sized hail, lasted about 3 minutes or so.

Probably the one where just the N side got hit and nothing else did. Kinda the opposite of the last go-round where the southern 1/3 of the metro got slammed while everybody north of 94 simply saw lightning to the south. :p

Yeah, I think we're talking about the same one. THAT was a great storm (now that I think about it, it was June 25th, because the next night was the Rochester *storm).

As expected, this weekend didn't amount to much - little to no upper level support via the jet stream and insufficient heating led to some weak-*** **** and minimal rainfall amounts.

Wednesday continues to look promising, though. That system will be stronger, is predicted to arrive at the time of peak heating, and will have a great deal of upper level support and moisture. If the forecast models prove right on this one, we could see a tornado outbreak (vertical sheer profiles look promising).

Hi, busy weekend.
We leave Saturday for two weeks with Kiawah Island being our ultimate destination.

To say I do not want to go to work tomorrow would be a bit of an understatement.

I'd so much rather be playing full time. But, I definitely over did it last night. My finger is sore as hell today, especially after another practice session.

Also got a lead on some places to play with the cover band way more local to me, so that could be a plus. I hate being exhausted after a gig and having to drive an hour +. It was nice last night, getting in my car and not having found a station to listen to by the time I was home.

Tomorrow is my Sunday. :o (only one day off though)

This is why I heart my straight 40 (or so :o ) schedule. The weekends are my weekends. No variable schedule, although I did find out that starting next year, we'll be paid bi-weekly, instead of weekly, which will be interesting, since I've run my budget on a weekly check for oh, say, 15+ years.

This can't possibly be taken out of context. :D

I kinda envy you, being a professional musician. Not that much though - it has to be a pain in the arse to book shows, practice regularly, and perform night after night, especially if you're just breaking into the business.

Watch "The Wrestler." Apply to musicians in an appropriate manner.

Yeah.

Howdy Folks
Another lovely Monday is here. Rained on and off all weekend which was great for my garden but not so great for outdoor activities. Off to the county

:D

I hate booking shows and trying to herd the cats into deciding to play or not. The solo practicing is ok, and even practicing with the band can be fun, but it's really the show itself that makes it worthwhile, especially if the payday is fun.
