Good morning, Lodge! Going to a wedding today, and the reception should be a lot of fun. Hopefully it's an open bar... :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

my mid-day plans for kickball got canceled. I need to find things to do around here... I'm just shocked that the things i relied on in 2008 to do stuff isn't there anymore.

Those of you who have met me know I'm different but not gloriously so different... this sucks.

Morning Lodge. It's good to be back in Colorado. :D :D

Off to the gym, then gotta get some errands done. Hopefully going for a long run this afternoon...winds are gusting to 40 mph right now.

So we were supposed to go golfing this morning before my buddy's wedding. Wake up, shower, start getting dressed. Get a text from him, it's raining. Now I can't go back to sleep.

That's why I do my long runs in the morning; they're done before bad weather comes and ruins my plans.

So for lunch, there's an IHOP, Chili's, Macaroni Grill, Steak N Shake, and TGI Friday's within walking distance of the hotel. Where do I want to go?

Good Morning, Lodge!

It feels great sleeping in till 8:30am.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

I wish I could pull off taking a shower while asleep... I could get up a whole 10-15 minutes later :p
Why do you think I taught myself how to do it? :D

EDIT: If you want specific timing, we had to leave at 7:15 to make it there in time to hit a bucket (tee time was 8:30). So I had 15 minutes. :p

Dreary day in 952 country. Looks like it might rain, but if it does, it's one of those all-day-soakers. Blech.

There is hope. Tomorrow it's supposed to reach the high 80s. That pleases me.

It can't be a dreary day because that will mean that the Brewers will beat the Twins and I will be sad. I need a good laugh today. Go Twinkies!

Time to go get ready to go to the Polish/Easter European grocery store that my co-worker and her husband own. Czernina anybody? I told my mom about the store and she wants to check it out because she lived in Poland for several summers. Then to the music store and then a book store. Yay!

Side note: when trying to be humorous, and you want to find an image, NEVER....EVER.....EV.ER!!! google "twinkies." EVER. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

And I heart coffee. Normally only drink it in winter, but I had a craving. I figure an 8-cup pot of coffee should suffice. :D

Because Knowledge is Power!

8 cup? Pff. I drink 2, 12 cup pot of coffee practically everyday. Something has to substitute for not drinking soda. Goes great with cigarettes.

Well, I don't drink a lot of pop (a Dew with lunch, that's about it, besides my morning Monster).

And thanks for reminding me, I have been meaning to add the movie "Coffee And Cigarettes" to my queue. I've heard it's pretty good.

I think my best in coffee was when I visited a buddy in St, Clooud. Met up with him at Perkins around midnight, we left at about 6am, with 7 pots of coffee underneath our belts. We were a little wired. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

'Morning, Lodge.
I have a friend in town visiting for the week, and last night we celebrated her arrival with a bonfire and drinks. I over did it on the sweet stuff, and combined with a very windy road back in to town, it did not end well. I'm on a big time re-hydration mission now.
It's cloudy right now, but it's supposed to clear up a bit and be really nice, so I am hopeful our beach plans for today still go through.
