Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

Good morning.

Morning lodge

Effing state trooper got on the freeway right in front of me. I was hoping someone wouldn't notice and pass him, thus taking him off the road. Nope. 70 MPH all the way to my exit. It's not like I'm trying to break the speed of sound, but I drive a nice straight stretch on my way to work and 75-80 MPH is "the flow". At least I had the balls to stay with him. At one point I looked in my rear view and all the other vehicles were about a half mile behind us, all jammed up.

That happens a lot on 94 eastbound from Mpls heading toward an unmentionable state to the east (AKA the autobahn in the morning) and it's always fun to watch that one dingleberry go flying by & get rung up. :D

I guess the drivers headed toward the unmentionable state to our west are a little more savvy ;)

S'upp y'all

(sorry bout all the mom issues... :( )

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

I found the twinkie to be the superior choice among the offerings. Though my stomach hurt the rest of the night after that bad boy. (I couldn't even eat breakfast!)
I usually stick to just the twinkies now, though the candy bars came out a year before twinkies, so the first year of twinkies I had a snickers and twinkie. That was too much sweet deep fried stuff. Now I just end up getting a twinkie and focus the rest of my time on cheese curds and other savory deep fried stuff, oh, and the big fat bacon.

I found the Twinkies pretty unexciting, actually - like deepfried cake surrounding more cake. With the candy bars, there was something different once I got past the breading.

And I think we were talking Winter Carnival, bb_dl. ;) Otherwise I agree entirely for the Great Minnesota Get-Together.

Morning, Lodge. The end of the term is so much fun when two professors want big assignments at essentially the same time. :o

Worse...
Green Bay again, or back to GF? I think I'm going to GB nest Monday for a Tuesday AM meeting. :(
Green Bay. Leaving tomorrow with a co-worker at 6:00AM and coming back Thursday at about noon. Luckily this time we got a hotel right down by Lambeau, so we're close to restaurants and bars. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a trip to BrettFavre Steakhouse. :D

Sorry, I hear deep fried twinkies and all I can think about is the State Fair. :p

I didn't get much sleep last night, so today has been a bit of a struggle thus far. I'm persevering and trying to make it through the day. Over and out. :)

When you're in WI you're always near a bar. :D

By some cruel, cruel miracle, the first business trip I took to Green Bay I stayed at the hotel closest to our distributor there, in DePere, where there was no bar within walking distance. NOT A SINGLE ONE. How the hell do I get sent to Wisconsin and end up at the only hotel in the whole state without anything resembling a bar close to it? Un-****ing-believable. That is why I've been getting hotels down by the Lambeau from then on, plenty of bars there.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #109: It's the Offseason, now what?

Fell asleep this afternoon and woke up around 8. Walking still wears me out. I'm sleeping 12-14 hours a day, and I'm still tired.

Oh, and Mom is about to have her ankle healed, so she had to break her wrist instead. :p Calamity Jane has nothing on her.
Are you pregnant too?!? ;) :p

Sorry to hear about your Mom, I hope she heals quickly. :(

DI makes me want to hit my head against the wall repeatedly.
Yet another reminder of why I stay away from that side. (I don't think the stress would be good for Maggie)

Indeed.

I have grad school applications coming out my ears! There is a single application that goes out to all the schools that you want to apply to, but it is incredibly tedious and there are a number of schools with supplements. *sigh*
