Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Morning lodge

Had a minor surgery performed yesterday. Nothing to be concerned about at all, and I'm doing fine. :)

Laying low this weekend. We're doing the full Easter dinner from Lunds. Prime rib, all the sides and a french silk pie for dessert. :D

<---- is fortunate he enjoys spending time with his family and in-laws.

In fact, with the amount of time the CD & I spend with "the sisters" and husbands it's almost like I married into the mob. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

I am fortunate that I spent time with my family last weekend so I don't have to this weekend! :D

Oh and I learned yesterday that Ralph Baer is considered the Father of Video Games. He is credited with, among other things, inventing the light gun.

Thanks for that Ralph, I loved Duck Hunt!

I will be going to my bro's inlaws. I. Also. Can't. Wait.

Don't get me wrong - I don't mind spending time with the in laws even if they are all messed up (Mrs. g agrees). Besides, it is quite comical seeing them in action and who doesn't enjoy a good train wreck every now and then? :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

I also realized last night that I'm going nowhere and I need to go back to school...

I bet you have a degree though. That's more than I can say.

Good morning, Lodge. Still sick, why won't it just go away, f-bomb. Hope everyone is doing fantastically.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Hello lodge!

Nothing to do today. If it looks like the weather is holding up I might go golfing later. Only problem with that is I'd probably end up having to stay at my parents house tonight, which I'm not looking forward to. Ideally i'll just drive down there for dinner tomorrow and get back home right away.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Rearranged the living room today. Got rid of my computer desk (and hunk o'junk desktop, which officially bit the dust today: everything on it was fried; I had to unplug it to power it down). Moved pretty much everything, although the big furniture was just adjusted a little. Getting rid of the desk really opened things up.

I think that's enough work for today. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Howdy kids. Went to church last night with my parents. We went to our old church, not the one we're currently members of. Good Friday is a bit of a circus there. We figured it wouldn't be as over the top where we went. Not necessarily over the top, but it was kinda crazy in its way. New priest there, he has a bad voice. Chants are off key. The chanter took over from the choir, which is a big no no in my book, especially on Good Friday. Church started at 7pm, we got out of there at 10pm. I had one of my headaches all day so I wasn't feeling well. Went home with my parents, stayed over their house as we were up at 7am to go back to church for Communion. Then we went out to breakfast. Came home, slept for about an hour, then took a walk to get a mani/pedi. I'm heading out in about 20 minutes to get my hair done. After that I'm home to relax till I have to go back to church tonight at 11pm. Unless my headache remains. I may stay in a sleep instead.

It's really nice out today, though not as warm as I thought it would be. I need to start packing for Detroit. I hope the weather is OK there, but I think it's going to be rainy there. Boo.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

got a serious question for everyone:

the company that purchased us and ultimately put us on the street is offering to hire some of us. I have the application in front of me. Question is, do I pull the trigger and go to work for this company?
