Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Well I got one thing accomplished today. About to leave to accomplish another. Still have 2 left after that.

Good evening, Lodge. Hope you are all enjoying your Friday. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

I got the notice yesterday that I was getting one, and not only am I getting the standard raise, they said that if I only get the standard raise this year, I'd still only be making the same as a college new-hire, so I'm also getting an additional supplemental raise because my supervisor "thinks my value is higher than that of a new hire".
So what you're really saying is we can put you down for a $10k contribution to the uscho bar fund for next year? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Target Field looks great, the team not so much tonight.
I think I should probably go pick up some chipotle burrito no matter what.

IMO chipolte is right up there with Subway as the most overrated fast food ever.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

They might be overrated/hyped, but sometimes those burritos just hit the spot. Delicious. :)

Baja Sol is pretty good as well.

This.

In fact, I'm going to go get Mexican food in a bit (and probably a margarita!), for a late dinner.

And I have been craving one since about monday!

I prefer burrito loco over chipotle, but I didn't want to drive further just to have to deal with parking in dinkytown.

Now I need to get some ice, since every time I buy a bag I use about a third of it and then in about 3 days it is magically all gone.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Their rice rules, but I really dislike the tortillas. Tortillas are key for me in burritos.
yeah, their tortillas tear apart too easily. That's been my biggest complaint with Chipotle. I like their salsas better than Pancheros.

Chipotle's tortillas just aren't soft enough, IMO. The texture is all wrong (crap, there's a comment for the peanut gallery). Salsas depend on the hotness. I like Panchero's hot salsa, but prefer the medium at Chipotle.

Yeah, I may have eaten at both places a few times. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

I had a fairly productive day today. :)

Now time to relax with my little brother, the coolest 10 year old ever. :)

I don't mind Chipotle's tortillas, and usually when they tear it's because some yahoo isn't rolling the thing right. :p They're supposed to be a bit tough.

Never been to Panchero's.

You do have a point about Chipotle's burritos.

And Panchero's tortillas are great. And I've had minimum experience with them tearing. Very minimum.

Hm, perhaps I'll have to look for one.

Not right now though - went to the local Mexican place tonight, and had a couple excellent beef chimichangas. Fried tortillas, delicious braised beef, all smothered in cheese with Spanish rice on the side.

And a margarita! half the size of my head. :D

There's a Panchero's on Rockford Road off 494.
