Found out the fluid plans for a Yankee swap during my open house for the XC kids has become reality. 11 kids and counting. I need to start cooking again. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!Other folks eat a bit, maybe pick at things. THese kids are vacuum cleaners.

They are good kids, glad they are coming but I need more time in my days or at least to shake this stupid cold.

Got word this afternoon that I am fully qualified to sit for my USCG license exams in January. Halfway towards achieving the childhood dream, now just need to pass all 7 tests. Headed home tomorrow evening for 2 weeks, then headed back to school. Pretty pumped.

Howdy gang. Back from my annual Christmas dinner and gift swap with my Thursday night drinking buddy. We gave hottie bartender his gift, which he loved. He also remembered last week when the maitre'd had comped my friend and her friend for dinner when I think they thought it was me and my meal was comped. As were our salads and desserts. Score! Then he was nice enough to point out Matt Light and Wes Welker from the Patriots who were sitting right behind us. A really fun night.

I'm taking tomorrow off, though I will have to work during some of it. But as long as I can do it sitting on my couch, I won't mind that much.

Thanks everybody... gonna be a couple weeks of intense studying (probably 2-3 hours a day), then a mentally intense week of tests... but it's the culmination of 3.5 years of school so it's worth it.

RunninWithDogs got a 2-week vacation, and one of the Techies was warned (calling John Scott Rocks a certain name, which ends in waffle). I think Board just doesn't like breakfast foods (besides bacon, of course). ;)

This uber disciplinarianism will last for about six weeks and then disappear again - unless they hired people to monitor this **** full time now.
