They did that at our rink for a while and then the kids all said 'socks' and waved socks in the air. It was hysterical.

Happy Birthday dxmnkd316!!

Official score keeper RFAlph- he was proud but then after I repped a happy birthday he was brilliant. Did I score a goal or was he brilliant already? (time 6:47 of the 1st period)

I don't know if he was brilliant before.

Edit: I'll give you the credit since no one noticed earlier. I suspect that others have maxed whom I don't know about.

Good morning. Sounds like big doings on the D1 board yesterday.....could be quiet around here.
The Rat got an acceptance letter from St. John's (MN) yesterday, so far he's 2-2 on college aps.. :)
So for the last couple weeks I've been telling HR my vacation balance was short by 8 hours. No way they kept telling me, I got the "you're right email today".

Today is the last Friday I work this year. Of course, that's probably the case for many people.

Interesting they use the term banned, for a two week suspension. So we have no idea how long all those posters are suspended or banned (besides RWD)?

I can definetly imagining all those banned, having prior warnings or complaints from other posters.

Good morning Lodge. So, here I sit on my day off and I've already gotten more work done than if I was in the office. Maybe there is something to this working from home thing. Even though this is technically a vacation day.

My wife and I are looking forward to this weekend as we have some family events planned.

There's no college hockey in Denver for a while as DU won't be playing until New Year's Eve and New Year's Night against Northern Michigan. However, my wife and I have hockey of another sort we'll be seeing this week. One of my wife's brothers-in-law works for a company which has a luxury suite at the Pepsi Center. He has the use of the suite this evening when the Colorado Avalanche hosts the Ottawa Senators. We have a grand night awaiting us as eight family members will be going to the game. Great food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and a wonderful dessert cart are all part of the evening's fare. While the Avs aren't world-beaters right now, on Wednesday night they completed a home and home sweep of the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. The Avs won at home Monday night 7-5 and in Chicago 4-3 with recently acquired Tomas Fleischmann scoring his first NHL hat trick in the third period.

On Sunday morning my wife and I are throwing our annual family brunch at which twenty-four family members will be gathering. Because various members of the family go their separate ways for Christmas, my wife has always liked to have a brunch a week or so before Christmas at which time we can gather as a family. My wife and I will be two of the folks heading our own way for Christmas as we're going to Colorado ski country for several days on the slopes at Breckenridge and Vail starting midweek next week. We were in Breck last weekend with five, twenty-five year olds staying with us for three days and nights and had a blast. The conditions on the mounatin were absolutely fantastic. In the more than forty years I've lived in Colorado I do not remember a year this early in the ski season when the conditions were as good as they were last weekend. And another 5 to 10 inch storm is headed for Summit County today and tonight. We're blessed to have some fun events on our schedule in the next week or two. We're looking forward to them. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.:)
