Quinnipiac Bobcats 2021-22 - Let's get this party started!

He gave up some juicy rebounds in the first half of the game that we couldn't capitalize on. Not to mention our PP woes.

Has nothing to do with humility. Harvard was beatable last night and we didn't take care of business. It's not like you outplayed us all night.

Every team is beatable on any given night. We skated with you guys for 60 minutes and while we didn't have as many chances, we had a few close in opps including one that rang the post. Oh, and how tough is it when your team has grad transfers playing the youngest team in the league that didn't play last season? Hmm?

Good, glad to hear that. I could hear the crowd during the 5-on-3, but definitely didn't seem that electric or deafening. That was a hell of a kill, and the goal right afterwards ended the game.

The crowd had its moments but like Mark said, sometimes disorganized. I watched the replay and the mics were definitely not tuned into crowd noise.

Coach B time is real. Yale didn’t have the legs to keep up in 3rd and the 5-3 PK and goal after was a killer.

Congrats to the boys for taking the Cleary Cup! Great game to head into the post season with.

Lot's of work left to be done but it's a brand new season!

Felt like the team lifted a gigantic monkey off its back with that first goal we scored.

I know the ECAC was weak this year, but still a tremendous accomplishment to win the regular-season title. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going in the playoffs.

Asterisk seasons, but the games still are played, and played hard. I see the years of hockey played by every player on the ice, both sides in front of 100s of fans on a poorly lit rink. The stench of sweaty gear in the back of the car. Junior hockey kids playing 1,000s of miles away from home, in a host's home, maybe in front of 100s of fans on a darkly lit rink....and we see the bright TV lighting in college hockey rinks, comfy independent living PLUS a free college education. My hat is off to Rand for putting a fund-raising program that supports itself, repeatedly bringing in great kids and elevating the Quinnipiac brand so us older Quinnipiac College students no longer hear "Quinnipi-what?"....."ac, ac, ac!" You ought to know by now!

Gutsy come from behind effort and OT win over SLU last night. The Saints came to play and gave us all we could handle.

The weekend showed we can score but the PP is still a very big concern. It was nice to see Mendel put together a solid series with 3 goals, 2 of which were absolute missiles. He's been a solid contributor on the backend all season, somewhat unsung but that's the sign of a great D-man.

Yes, Perets is apparently human but still had a solid showing overall. Even giving up 3 goals he never appeared rattled. Made some huge saves late in the 3rd and through both OT's.

Need to do some scoreboard watching today to see who we'll face next weekend in Lake Placid. It will be RPI, Colgate, or Cornell, in that order, as we get the lowest remaining seed.

To me playing Colgate would be the Bobcats easiest path to the ECAC Championship game followed by RPI and then Cornell. They have handled Gate pretty easily this year and had two tight wins against RPI and two tight losses to Cornell.

In thought last night was frustrating and a little painful to watch but probably exactly what they needed. Yanni gave up a few goals, but still looked good. Team fought hard, got some gritty goals to come back. Fought hard in OT and ground it out. SLU had nothing to lose and played like it. Questionable officiating but I guess you can say it goes both ways. I did see Rand bend their ear a bit even after Desi’s goal.

Last nights battle could help them in Lake Placid. TJ was walking around last night so hopefully just something minor keeping him out of the line up. It might not show on the score sheet but he’s a pain in the @$$ to other teams.

I’m pretty sure Mendel hits the puck hard enough to put it through a brick wall.

Really looking forward to Lake Placid. I think they are ready!

Let’s Go Bobcats!

That was, if we're being honest, not a great performance last night. SLU blocked a ton of shots, but some of that is on the shooters -- way too many shots just had no chance to get through, and a few of them were even turned the other way. Going to have to be a lot sharper next weekend if we want to take home the Whitelaw.

That said, great job to battle and get the win. Good teams find a way even when they're not at their best, and this is a very good team.

The team we saw this weekend was the team from early in the year. Not perfect by any stretch, but experienced, gritty and resilient. Agree with your comments, good teams “find a way to win”. Friday’s game could be tough, especially with a potential Harvard/Clarkson matchup lurking. Rand will have them ready. I think the Sr’s and transfers will show their leadership.

Good luck to the Q tonight, and especially the NCAA's. No posts here, I'm convinced you guys have a secret thread somewhere.

Thanks Steve! I thought Gate gave a good effort yesterday. You guys had a great 2nd half and deserved to be there.

No secret thread... just not many of us posting regularly here. Sometimes feels like you're talking to yourself. :-)
