KP has a confidence problem, or he's just not as good as we thought he would be. The team definitely plays different with him in net too.

Hopefully Shorty can get over last night and shut down the Big Red.

I forgot, non-conference game on Long Island....ok, that softens it a bit for me, too...thanks! I feel better. Maybe he's thinking about life in Detroit....ok, let's see whats up with the team tonight.

Not the most inspired performance tonight. Seemed to be a bit flat, and disappointing to give up another lead.

OK, got a point...few weeks ago, we were in awe of the depth. Getting Nick Jermaine and Cam Boudreau into the mix should help, but I do not see the cohesive, intuitive passing and play I saw a month ago. I think they were a much better team and two "new" players need to be assimilated....next weekend will be 2 very tough teams again....much rougher weekend than this one was supposed to be..Let the Freshman play! Was good seeing KP enthusiastically supporting his teammates on the bench. He is a very very very good kid...they all really are!

Perhaps they're just a little rusty after the break. When you start 15-3, you get the benefit of the doubt that a winless home weekend is just a blip.

Except they pasted Colgate last weekend. That should have been a good tune-up to chase away the cobwebs. Seemed they were just a bit off this weekeknd. Started like gangbusters both nights but couldn't sustain it. They seemed a bit better tonight but their shot selections weren't very good... a lot of rubber into the feet of Cornell.

When you start 15-3, you get the benefit of the doubt that a winless home weekend is just a blip.

I think it is. Again, nobody expected us to be where we are at this point. Still a lot of hockey left and no need to panic. I'm sure they'll bounce back.

With the caveat that we've played more games than any other team except Princeton ...

Quinnipiac's tie tonight moves us into a first-place tie with Yale. We're five points clear of 5th place.

These main kids have been together since July. Bring in new blood, takes time.

I get too tough on this team...i have to remind myself they are college team, cycle players into and out of the program, but I suppose if you are going to take a swoon this is better time to reset, get new players in the mix and fortify. I am bit disappointed in loss to Colgate, but it is tough for any team at any level to beat someone 3 times (except Yale & we all know what happened then), so they are not really even in a "swoon", Cornell is very big, strong team and they are missing Shiplo, a catalyst! We want to have this team comfortable playing together and winning in February and March or losing close games that could have gone either way....

Need to get the train back on track. Hopefully last weekend was just some holiday hangover and they're back to what they do best!

Dartmouth is a cheap shot team . . . not impressed with them but their play may have lit the right fuse....should see a rough game tomorrow, good game all around....

When was the last time we went 12 minutes into a period without a shot? That 2nd period could have buried us but they hung strong while Shorty stood on his head and finally netted one to knot the score. From there it was pretty much all Q. Not a pretty performance but certainly a gutsy one. Good warm up for tomorrow night.
