He (Jermain) sat in front of us for part of the UMass game at QU with 2 other players. One was Gus Van Nes at least thats who I think it was the other Im not sure.

I heard that it is a hip flexor. serious ones can take up to 8 weeks to heal up properly, so hopefully he is good to go in the second half. nick has potential to dish out a lot of assists in my opinion.

Shiplo solid on D this year.!! Jermain i hope back after break...did see him in stands so good sign...Has straight North South speed...strong forecheck

A healthy Jermain gives Rand a few more options to increase line depth. Of course there seems to be enough depth in the freshman class to do the job as well. Prior to getting hurt I thought Nick might be on the verge of making some big contributions to this team.

Thanks, I was optimistic and hope he is healing well. I met his father at a Princeton game, nice guy! Kind of caught in the noise last season.

Devon Toews is making his NHL debut for the Islanders tonight. 8 PM on MSG+ for anyone who is interested.

Toews looked like he belongs. Very likely he sticks in the NHL.

Has anyone purchased tickets for the game at the Nassau Coliseum this weekend? I just went on Ticketmaster to buy our tickets and it annoyingly doesn't let me pick our seats. It just has different price ranges and assigns you a seat based on what purchase. Does anyone know if there are specific sections or a specific side that will be allocated for fans of each team?

Due to some prior family obligations I can't make it out to the island for this game. Is it really not being shown on TV/internet? I can only find links to audio coverage.

And does anyone know who the "home" team is going to be?

Doesn't look like any TV coverage. Probably did that to help fill seats. Not sure on the home team but its probably a coin flip.
