Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...
Oh, it is going to be a long weekend.....

Pecknold on what needs to improve: "I think we could be here an hour if we're going to talk about what we need to get better."
I guess enough said on that point.
On another note, do the TV timeouts for ESPN3 during home game drive anyone else nuts? This is the first year with this and I do not like it.
Oof.
Rand's never been known for sugarcoating ...
No he hasn't. There is a lot of issues on this team team right now. Can they score against a team that actually plays defense? Can they score on the power play? Those are just 2 to start
Team looked flat...2nd period worn down...Cornell sneaky dirty on face offs...tomorrow will be better?
Need somebody other than #8 with confidence to shoot puck...can’t score with passes

Consistent scoring from up and down the lineup was an issue last year, and would it really be a surprise if we struggled to get secondary scoring this year? From what I've seen, we don't seem to have the gamebreakers of seasons past. I don't see a Sam Anas on this roster, do you?
No sam Anas on this roster but I like Tufto and he will score. There are just way too many 3rd and 4th line players on this roster and not enough big guns.
The effects of an bye week early in the season. We've seen it too many times. I had hoped that the extra time would help them, especially coming off a great road weekend at NU.The Bobcats looked like a team on the second night of a really long trip -- tired and making a lot of mental mistakes.
Landon is out there. He's never been flashy but has somehow managed to amass 100 points, so he's doing something right. Cornell did a good job of shutting down our first line last night. They were all over Smith and Tufto, and MacMaster got pummeled every time he touched the puck. Even Whelan seemed to draw a lot of attention.Where has Landon Smith been so far this season? Has he been getting scratched, or am I just not noticing him? That's a guy that needs to give more if this team has any chance.

To be totally honest, our best player last night might just have been Kevin Duane. He tried to dance toe-to-toe with some of the pylons out there and even won a few battles in the corners.
Really??? I saw a player that was way too slow out there last night and seemed to be bogging down his own linemates. Gets way too much ice time in my opinion but Rand must see something in him I guess. Would rather see more Germain and less Duane.
I did say "might"...Really???
