Expect both teams to make significant adjustments for tomorrow. I suspect it might be a much lower score as both teams will tighten up their play. A sweep would be huge going into the off-week before league play begins.

The off season conditioning definitely showed tonight. NU looked out of gas. Qu was definitely a step quicker with a little more jump. Might want to credit part of that win to Baresh. Let’s hope NU is still winded tonight.

Game 2 on deck tonight. We definitely need a little bit more offense than we showed last night. 15 shots aren't going to cut it against (most likely) Ruck in net. While we did make the best of our limited chances, I think we hit a nervous freshman in net and that won't fly against a more experience tender.

Defense will need to be stout and shut down those 2 or 3 big guns NU has. I believe we'll see Shortridge and I think he'll be ready to play. I expect tonight to be a much tighter game with less scoring than last night. Hoping for the sweep!

Huge W. We dominated play in the 3rd and OT and deserved to win that game IMO. Shortbridge was great behind a good defensive effort. Priskie was fantastic. Tufto had a good game to top off a great weekend. I'll take 3-1-1 after 5 games against some solid HE opponents.

Week off to clean some things up, then ECAC play. Like what I've seen this year! Fun team to watch.

Nice road sweep! Much better performance tonight. Priske was awesome! Excellent 3rd and OT... agree with Al, we deserved that win.
 
It's really tough to do what they just did. Go on the road and win 2 against a really tough HE team. Really great job by these young men. Still have a lot to clean up but really like the 3rd periods this weekend after some tough ones a few weeks prior.

Fun team to watch. Never say die attitude. Lots of chances tonight and 2 wins at NU not easy 46 odd shots on net for Q

Hello everyone! As you may or may not have seen, vicb is not running the annual ECAC Pick the Standings contest this season. I have decided to take up the torch and run it. I know we are running on rather short notice as the season will start in just four days, but hopefully we can get a decent turnout regardless. Quinnipiac seems to be off to a great start in out of conference play vs. Hockey East, and should thus raise the Pairwise fortunes of the better ECAC teams. So thank you!

Hockey East has sucked in their out of conference games. Not sure that is going to be the case.

Another big weekend. Cornell is always tough but they haven't shown much even with their sweep of Hunstville last weekend. Makes it tough to figure out what we'll be up against. We'll need to use our speed to counter their pylon defensive strategy. Hopefully no rust from the week off, and maybe they did some extra work on the PP.
