Well if you took it personally then I guess it was to you. It was actually in reference to the amount of non-Quinnipaic fan traffic this thread has been receiving since the Field of 16 was announced. Most other fan bases seem to think Quinnipiac is still some bottom feeder school out of the ECAC so we take a lot of pride in our boys and we do get rilled up a lot easier because of that.

BC is not one of those "other fan bases" . We have great respect for QU's hockey program..............and you guys are obviously a top dog in college hockey and fans from around college hockey want to read about you and what you fans have to say. I see that as a compliment, don't you? and a lot of us want to poach you out of the ECAC and get you to HE, another sign of respect and a compliment for sure. Good luck next week. If you beat us I'll be rooting for you for sure

Nice Write-up by Cox ....
NCAA East Regional: Fundamentals Key Quinnipiac Run to Frozen Four

"Quinnipiac's success doesn't come from blue chippers. It comes from speed, puck pursuit and bringing a lunch pale mentality to the ice each and every shift."

Another one from the ECAC
ECAC to be Well Represented at 2016 Men's Frozen Four
http://www.ecacsports.com/news/2015-16/Frozen_Four_Blog_QU_BC

"The trip to the 2016 Men’s Frozen Four marks the Bobcats’ second in four seasons, as they previously reached the national championship game against fellow ECAC Hockey school Yale University in 2013. It also represents the third time in four years that a team from ECAC Hockey has reached the national semifinals."

This is actually wrong ... its the 4th time in the past 5 years that we (ECAC) have made the semi's. It will be the third time in the past 4 years when you win the NT. :D

ya i get it lol, i'm not senile ..............yet;).......... Really strange here, you can't even be nice and respectful to these people and engage in hockey talk with them. If you aren't an ECAC or Q fan they basically ignore you. This is something i've noticed over the past couple of years because i do read their thread. Rarely does any of the posters on here respond to anyone outside their snotty circle. Then they play the disrespect card which is a total joke because if we didn't respect their program and think they are a major player we wouldn't bother with them.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

GREAT WRITEUP - YAHOO SPORTS !!!
BC & York slammed for supporting Big10 proposal and Yahoo's favorite to win it all ... QU !!! Applauds to North Dakota and Denver for opposing the rule despite it being advantageous to them.

NCAA Hockey 101: Familiar Frozen Four field just fine
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...ar-frozen-four-field-just-fine-215855708.html

"There's more parity in college hockey these days than there probably ever has been. Nontraditional powers like Providence, Union, Yale and Minnesota-Duluth have all won their first national titles since 2011. Teams like Quinnipiac and UMass Lowell regularly make it to regional finals and beyond."

"This is part of the reason why the traditional powers in the Big Ten are so scared of 21-year-old freshmen: The playing field is more level than it ever has been, and it's eating into the perceived success of the more established, multiple-time national champions. Minnesota didn't make the tournament this year. Wisconsin is a disaster. Michigan hasn't been actually good for years. Et cetera."

"If that's what the credentials you need to be accepted as “new blood” around here are these days, then I guess the sport is setting an absurdly high bar. But hey, Quinnipiac doesn't have a title yet, so we get to be hopeful about it or something. It would certainly be better than seeing one of the sport's old-money teams get another title to throw on the big pile in the basement.

The other power schools support the legislation only because it helps them knock down the upstarts like Quinnipiac, who have infringed upon the old boys club in recent years.

Once again, one has to believe that the ability of non-traditional powers to level the playing field and more-than-occasionally make it to the Frozen Four by taking older recruits is generally good for the sport. It is of course not good for BC, North Dakota, and Denver, necessarily. But at least, the latter two teams have seen their coaches come out and repudiate the rule proposal, saying it would be bad for the game. Jerry York, of course, knows from whence the butter for his bread comes and supports the rule because it likely means fewer losses to Lowell, Northeastern, Providence, and so on.

Of course, if I were picking a favorite for the national title right now, I'd probably have to say it's Quinnipiac.

I hope you're not referring to all of us? I'm loving the banter from the visitors and take exception to a few of the comments from the regulars. At the end of the day, it's all harmless drivel... the game will be decided on the ice regardless of what we say.
