Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Yeah... I'm thinking I may have to turn in my "World's Biggest Bobcat Fan" card. :(

My heart will be there but my soul, and the flag, will be here.

Right now the plan is to hang out at Luke's with a few others and have our own private viewing party. ;)

I was wondering if QU might do something with those gorgeous video boards... the post from DotF seems to indicate that they will.

The Frozen Four being in Tampa is such a shame for the four teams in the event, it really is going to impact the event. I'm one of them, but how many fans would have seriously considered going to one or both games had they been in Philly, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, or DC? Tampa is just impossible, on short notice, to get to without breaking the bank. It's a shame. I understand growing the game of hockey, but when the closest participating school is 1,200 miles away, that's a problem.

Flying to Orlando, Fort Meyers, West Palm Beach are viable options but would require a rental car or car jacking depending on your situation.

Its too bad this great Quinnipiac team wasn't a year ago when the Frozen Four was in Boston. The place would have been flooded with fans. I missed last weekends festivities in Albany due to a conflict. I was not missing another tournament game so I had to take the plunge to Tampa.

I'm basically in the same boat as you. Missed last week because of work, but next week I was able to get the days off and I've got a little scratch thanks to the beautiful state of Maine and the perfect timing of my tax return. See you in Tampa!

Glad you're able to make it. I work in baseball TV, so leaving for a few days during the first week of baseball season is out of the question. Likely heading to The Bank for the game watches, though.

Yes Sir I'll be there with @ThxMuch

I think we met at the BU game this season or maybe SCSU. I'll be easy to spot with my Brando Wong jersey on.

Yes Mark ... Camo is staying home for this one. BigAl ... It's been awhile. Can't wait!

My wife and I will be there, along with two other couples. We will represent Section # 113, and the " older crowd ". We have been to only one other FF in Pittsburgh, and would ask if anyone knows at what time the team bus pulls up, which seems to be part of the ceremonies-red carpet, band, etc.
Starting at 2:00 PM at Jackson's Bistro, but don't want to miss the Team arrival.

Yes it has. Got my brothers and Dad to commit 3 months ago. Excited the team decided to join us

In Pittsburgh I don't remember the red carpet for the semi's... I think that was only for the championship game. The teams arrived approx. 2 hrs before game time if I recall correctly.

Thanks Mark... I guess they will just have to beat BC, if they bring the same game to BC that they played against the Riverhawks, this will be possible.

I believe they had one for the Semi's as I saw both Quinnipiac and St. Cloud come in.

I honestly can't remember whether there was red carpet for the semi's. I don't think there was but I do remember the teams arriving both days.

There was definitely a red carpet as both bands played when the teams came into the arena and they roped it off on each side.

here is the one from the title game.

I definitely remember that as I was right at the door with the flag. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure that's me yelling "Bui!!!". I just don't remember the same pageantry for the semi's though. I seem to recall the teams just arrived by bus and walked in on Thursday.
