More like one of those guys. As a Maine fan my whole life, I cringe seeing those things. The amount of times I've gone to Conte and seen BC beat down on Maine is vomit worthy. Glad to see you are rooting for the Bobcats, though!

I'll be sure to stop by and say hello.

This was perfect timing for SLU. St. Lawrence has been playing well and getting better every week, and Q was WAY overdue for a loss. This may end up being a positive result for both teams when all's said and done.

Unreal last five minutes tonight and the Bobcats simply did not cash in on their chances. Great teams find ways to win in those situations and they find ways to shutdown top lines. QU didn't do that tonight. Time to start a new winning streak tomorrow (or a losing one:()

Yeah, the streak is over. It was a great run and tonight's loss doesn't diminish what we have accomplished. Time to start another winning streak. I'm sure the "atmosphere" surrounding the team this week had an affect on their performance but it was still a good, close hockey game and if we had gotten a bounce or two (or a shot on at least 3 wide open nets) who knows. Hats off to SLU for giving us a dose of our own medicine.

More importantly, even though we lost on the ice tonight, we still won. With Union's win over Yale, we clinched the Cleary Cup as the ECAC regular season champions! That's quite an accomplishment and is part of the bigger picture.

Time to come back down to earth and take out our frustrations on the Golden Knights.

I never thought you could feel good after a loss, but I'm really ok with it. Yeah, it would have been nice to keep the streak going but I really think it's a blessing in disguise. The monkey's off our back and now we can go out over the next five games and tune up for the playoffs.

I honestly think this is the best thing for the team. It will re-institute that fire -- a realization that you're not as good as your press clippings, and you have to compete every night.

The stream was in bad shape all night, so I didn't really see as much as I'd like, but I do think the streak was becoming a monkey on their backs. You could tell the near-panic with which they tried to equalize late in that game. It just seemed like everyone was trying to make the perfect play. Now, the streak is over, QU's not going to be No. 1 next week, there's nothing to protect anymore. The conference regular-season title is done, which means the only thing they're playing for, at this point, is NCAA Tournament seedings. That's a good thing, I think.

Now, let's just play hockey. Five games left in the regular season. Forget everything else, just play hockey. I think this will be the best thing that could have happened to this hockey club.

The streak was bound to end at some point. Rather now than early in the NCAA tournament. Give St. Lawrence credit. They played a disciplined game defensively and took us out of our game tonight. Rand on the pregame show on WQUN said its tougher to play St. Lawrence on a Friday night than Saturday night as they can play the top line more on Friday. When we beat them earlier in season it was on a Saturday night. So we won't be number 1 next week. That's fine. The drop won't be significant maybe a spot or 2. St. Lawrence is a rising team so it shouldn't hurt as much as a loss to an under .500 ECAC team.

There's certainly no need to panic. It's the first loss in over 3 months! The key is for the guys to regroup and rebound from this. I expect to see them come out flying tonight. The leadership on this team has been great all year and I don't see them letting the team get down emotionally. There's still work to be done and winning games is important for the PairWise. The way they respond tonight will set the tone for the rest of the season.

Exactly! The USCHO and USAToday ranking is nice, but the PairWise is all that matters, which is why they need to keep theirs heads in the game from here on out.

Are you still making an appearance tonight?

LOL! I bet you couldn't find a QU fan a week ago that said that the polls didn't matter. See what the #1 does to you. You get all bitter and jaded if you think you won't have it. You could at least wait until they lose the #1 before squeezing the bitter grapes and making wine.

Regardless, Quinnipiac is a very good team and anyone that underestimates them may be sorry.
