I graduated in 2008 -- the unknowledgeable student fanbase was an issue then, too. Quite frankly, I think it's time for Athletics to try something, because it's not happening all by itself. Hockey's a very difficult game to understand, maybe a little helpful nudge by Athletics might help educate the students on the sport.

It's another day, which only means one thing:

Though a huge problem at Quinnipiac is the traffic getting out of the arena. One road in and one road out with more than half of the students living on the main campus.

Yeah. That's why I always hang out in the building for 30 minutes after the game ends -- by the time I walk to my car, it's clear sailing all the way to the highway! And, I don't have to sit in traffic.

Do they not open up that back road out of the parking garage? Just the main road down to Sherman? I seem to remember the past couple times I made the trip, wondering why the lower exit out of the garage was closed.

Polls just came out. Quinnipiac still the number 1 team in the country. Lost 7 first place votes though.

I almost think this week is a better achievement than last week -- last week, they had no choice. QU hadn't lost since November, and Minnesota had just lost a game. This week, all three top seeds lost. That's a sign people are respecting the talents and achievements of this team.

Saturday's game should be a terrific game . I am thinking of driving down for the game, making a decision at the last minute. Will there be tickets available at rink with Saturday night being Senior Night?

I'll be there as well. I think they hold tickets for the day of the game. I'd call the box office just to be sure.

That back road is for emergency access only. At some poit in the future I expect it will be opened up for normal traffic.

Normally I'd say there will be tickets available but this year who knows. I'd check with the box office now and not chance it.

SRO only, and has been that way for weeks. Tickers have been going crazy, lately. There may not even be SRO's available at the door. You should absolutely call ahead just to be sure before you drive down.

Thanks for the info. The investment is worth it at this time. If it turns out, I can't use them, I will post on this site and give them to the first taker.

This is such a cute little story. The Quinnipiac Bobcats. How this team can be ranked number one in the country is beyond me. Has anyone bothered to look at their schedule? Has anyone noticed the unbelievable weak opponents they have lost to? American International?? Please. The Bobcats can't help who they play.....and they have a great record. Great story.....just can't understand the ranking.

They lost to one ****ty team in AIC and that was at the beginning of the season. They beat Maine on the road when they were ranked early in the season. Also went 2-0-1 overall against Hockey East teams. They swept the 2nd place WCHA team in Nebraska-Omaha. Beat and tied an improving Ohio State team. Pounded Yale at their place this year. They beaten quality teams this year and that is why they have the ranking they do. Their SOS is 18 one behind Minnesota who is at 17. Also when you have a 13-3-2 record over teams under consideration (TUC) the ranking is justified.

For those Bobcats fans that don't remember much from that AIC game here are some notes about the lineup (which will mean little to nothing to those that don't know about this team)

Garteig in net, no CJ, Reese played, the Barron Brothers were the 2nd d-pairing, no Federico, Luczyk and Jonzzon were brand new and had played only a couple of games.

Are these excuses? I guess so, but we all know how well THIS team can play and how different THAT team was.

Not to mention that I heard Rand, Billy and Reid weren't even watching the game but instead were following the McMahon-Murphy numbers. How can you pay attention to a game when you have heated political battles happening?
