Very good point. I personally feel since there hasn't been a mens 'playoff game held here since 2009, that our present seniors should have been able to enjoy one before graduation. .

I believe you meant to say March 12th 2011 home game which was a 3-2 OT lose to Norwich in 1/4 final game;)

Thanks for the reminder... Hey boys, if you ever doubted the importance of staying out of the **** penalty box, this is the game to look at. Norwich did not score a single 5x5 goal, but went 3-for-4 on the PP and that was all they needed! (PS, I still think that interference call in OT was an absolutely atrocious decision by that particular refereee...)

Cardinals, Bantams set to clash in NCAA men's hockey quarterfinals - {Article courtesy of the Plattsburgh Press-Republican 3/17/2015}

For the first time since the 2011-12 campaign, the Plattsburgh State men's hockey team – which is currently ranked third in the USCHO.com poll – will be making an appearance in the NCAA Division III men's ice hockey tournament.

The Cardinals (20-5-2) secured an automatic bid into the tournament in addition to a first-round bye into the quarterfinals by defeating Oswego 2-1 in the SUNY Athletic Conference championship game at Stafford Ice Arena March 7.

Plattsburgh will head south to take on No. 7 Trinity College (22-3-1) who advanced to the second round of the national tournament by taking out Nichols by a 4-2 tally Saturday.

At stake when the two on-ice combatants lock horns in the Koeppel Community Sports Center at 7 p.m. Saturday is a spot in the semifinals, which will take place at Ritter Arena in Minneapolis, Minn., March 27.
Ticket prices have been set by the NCAA and are $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and students ages 12 and up. Children ages 2 to 12 will be charged $3, while all children under the age of 2 will be admitted free of charge.

Tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 6 p.m. on the day of the game in the front lobby of the Koeppel Community Sports Center.

Additionally, an allotment of 200 tickets will be available for purchase in the main athletic offices located on the third floor of Memorial Hall from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Cash or personal checks are the only two forms of payment that will be accepted and those paying by personal check should make it out to Plattsburgh State Athletics.

No, THAT was Ritter.....

Well Ridder - Ritter, whatever, when Plattsburgh takes out Hamline, the outcome will be the same :cool:

BTW, RT 3/26-3/29, BTV to MSP <$675.

Wis-Stevens Point; Amherst; Norwich may have a say in this!! If it should be Norwich, I like their changes when looking at the Cadets post season NCAA record with the Cardinals since Coach McShane took over in the 1995-1996 season. :)
1997 (3-3 Tie ; 5-2 Cadets win ¼ finals); 1999 (4-4 Tie; 3-2 Cadets win ¼ finals); 2010 (3-2 Cadets win semi-final @ LP); 2011 (3-2 OT Cadets win ¼ final)

So, the word on the street is that there are NO plans for a fan bus to Trinity.
