Plattsburgh State had to negotiate with the men's committee as well don't forget.

Plain and simple, beyond your "super passionate" mind, it wasn't said.

I'll concede there is likely forces of bias within the NCAA sphere of influence that is strongly against Plattsburgh, but that (sharing the limelight) isn't one of them.

It might have been said WITHIN Plattsburgh, I would not put it beyond Brucey - who I suspect is the biggest PITA in Plattsburgh's Men's Hockey.

I think they should've made them move the Women's tournament to Elmira. Then again, I'm from Elmira. 😀

Very good point. I personally feel since there hasn't been a mens 'playoff game held here since 2009, that our present seniors should have been able to enjoy one before graduation. We all know how tough the competition is in the mens' field and the great number of teams participating, so it is hard to reach this point. I feel for them. No hard feelings toward the women or anyone but I do and will feel sad for them. Also, guys, last nights comments , forgotten but I do get the info, can comprehend it believe me. We move on.

I don't get what's politically correct about this. A final trumps a QF. If it were a men's final and a women's QF, the women would be hitting the road. You say you're "all for equality", but you want the women displaced without a good reason. The men haven't hosted in awhile? Whose fault is that? Not the women's team. If you're just continuing to argue that both teams should have been home next weekend, I'm not sure what good that does. The NCAA dropped their hammer and no one tells the NCAA their business (without lawyers and drawn out litigation).

Given an EQUAL choice of what to watch, I would choose men's ice hockey every time and I would I'd love to see another men's home game, but NEVER at the sole expense of another Plattsburgh team.

I can also believe that Brucey would have sent the men away AND try to blame the NCAA.

In Brucey's defense, I can also recognize that the bias could be due to unconscious-influences.

Exactly what proof do you have that Bruce would intentionally sabotage the men's hockey team (other than your paranoia)? I know there are some here that think he does his entire job just to screw the men's hockey fans. Considering, as has already been suggested here earlier, that the men's hockey team is possibly the only one that operates in the black, exactly what does he get for trying to keep that program down?

When you can show me ONE Brucey developed and initiated item designed to benefit the men's hockey team, I will begin to rethink my thought that he is bias against the team - be it conscious or unconscious.

You're right. We're all on the same team here. I for one will put the NCAA scheduling debacle behind me and concentrate on the job at hand. Watching Trinity/Nichols with another laptop watching Hobart/Oswego. It was a spirited debate, but it's over for me at least. Let's win 3 road games and a National Championship !

A passionate debate (fan is short for fanatic!)... I agree with the three road games and like I said before, leave the trophy at center ice after it's over!
