Plattsburgh State Hockey 13-14 Season 25

Plattsburgh uses a different system for the men's games and the women's games. My guess? They want the net to come off a little easier during the women's games. You don't want the goals staying in place for a couple of ladies charging the net that just don't have the weight behind them the men do. I would guess it's a player safety and injury issue....
Has to be and rightly so.....nothing could move the old peg in the pipe system.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey 13-14 Season 25

At Oswego they don't use the Marsh Pegs for the Women's game like they do for the men. I know they usually don't have the full Ice Crew at the Women's games and the pegs take a little more work but it could also be due to safety. A lot of female goalies use the posts to get a good push off and when they do if there are no pegs it can create a lot of nets to come off, and of course there are goalies of both genders that use it to gain an advantage.

Seriously ;)

I can't believe WPTZ actually covered anything in NY. Every time I visit my parents all I see on the WTPZ news in Vermont/ New Hampshire/ and some Maine news. It is Great that the Lady Cards got some coverage.
Oswego '88

Yes, the coverage was very nice for a change, but I'll wager dollars to donuts that the WPTZ reporter was sent there for possible coverage of a Norwich victory.

Having said that, the Cards deserved the victory and surely deserved the great coverage as well!

Wow! sounds like somebody the Cards could benefit from!!
:D
should work out better than the BIG guy from last yr,also remember valenti mentioned in the article is going to Utica,a good pick up for them as well.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey 13-14 Season 25

I wonder how many guys the Cards will be replacing other than the 4 graduating seniors ?? In a clubhouse that seemed a little dysfunctional, some may not return....don't know anything for sure, but have heard a few grumblings.

seems like Platty loses a few every yr during the off-season, but I think Oswego will have more bow out this summer than Platty, never know who will fill the shoes/skates??

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey 13-14 Season 25

Let's just say our program isn't for everybody, you've got to be a certain type. P.S. I'm still mad at the way our season ended. Five stinkin' losses, only one post season game....that's a tough out. I thought we had enough team to make it to Lewiston, but in the end nobody was going to beat St. Norbert anyway.

Come on fella, spill the beans. You can't leave us hanging like that. ;)

Who do you guys think are on the all-decade team?

I think Cadieux, Joey Wilson and Nick Rolls all stand a good chance of making that list.

Here's my list of candidates that I would choose from if I were making the decision:

Potential Forwards:
Joey Wilson
Eric Satim
Dylan Clarke
Ryan Busby
Riley Hill

Potential Defensemen:
Nick Rolls
Mike Grace
Nick Jensen (F or D?)
Paul Puglisi

Potential Goalies:
Mathieu Cadieux
Bryan Hince - not really ;)

Anybody I missed?

Ward Smith maybe?

I think Jensen sadly gets frozen out because of the position switch. I'd personally put him behind Wilson, Satim and Clarke at forward and Rolls, Grace and Puglisi at D.

I would be floored if they ever honor Hince given how he left. I'd be less shocked to see Emery ever jump ship than I would for that to happen. Cadieux is it.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey 13-14 Season 25

Former fan favorite (and my personal friend and favorite) Shane Remenda could be an option at Forward.... wasn't a big point guy, but played with heart and never gave up.
