I'm sure that the fans of other teams would be ecstatic if their school was getting an influx of D1 transfers, so I don't really understand all the bitterness toward Plattsburgh for landing these kids.
As you said, Dogwatcher, people transfer for all sorts of reasons ... but, I would bet that playing time (or lackthereof) is usually at the top of the list. Not sure academics necessarily has a lot to do with it, however, when we're talking about hockey players...
Nice point coach can be wrong at times. It also could be that the school is not the right fit. Remember that the players are students first and hockey players next. As far coach Houle goes who cares why they called him ( my opinion he has probably talked to them first time around and left a good impression) . The important part of this whole thing is that the girls get a good education and enjoy their time at the school reguardless of how the hockey turns out.
