Plattsburgh State 2010

Re: Plattsburgh State 2010

Yup...ya'll better calm down as the elitist's will be reading this thread after they push back from the trough....any more ot that kind of foolishness and you might get yourselves banned.

BTW Trot's...probably dating myself here but I got the "Done like Dinner" quote and it kinda brought a smile to my face.

It wasn't a matter of "getting it."

OK I understand where your coming from. I think it was just a light hearted attempt at being humorous. Without that every thread on here is going to end up like that Minnesota snoozefest...

Re: Plattsburgh State 2010

all my point was is that you always just tack on to whatever 5 4 says. i wasn't trying to be funny, so I'm not hurt that you didn't find me funny :D

This Forum is like Baseball.....You need a starter, middle relief, a pinch hitter and a closer :D

Good to see fiver back.....He can be both a starter and a closer. CHG is more like the server or the pinch hitter....Now who is middle relief designee, Trots ?.

Heard that in Minnesota they play softball rather than hard ball :D

Home run every time.;)

Re: Plattsburgh State 2010

I was just reading on the Platty Men`s boards that Elmira will be dropped from the Platty sched next year due to ``the distance and expense``. Given that the Platty Women rarely play at the Domes (EC travels to Stafford twice again this year) can we assume that this is also due to financial constraints...

It's probably because of health concerns in the Asbestosdomes; or from eye strain in Shadowdomes...you name it...!!

Re: Plattsburgh State 2010

Ya...that's hilarious Seyless. Your alma mater can't afford bus gas and your making light of EC's arena?

Yup...It's a dump. Hey EC agreed to hit the road, so they can't be too upset...besides, traveling to Plattsburgh is probably a shorter trip than going from EC campus through the sticks to the Shadowdumps... ;)

Hah...I'll take it then that the Platty men's team can't win there either.

Is there a Cardinal Bus Gas fund that people can contribute to?

Let me know what I can do to help...

In the past, Platty has had to travel to both Elmira and RIT in the same season. Elmira had RIT and Platty at home in the same year and RIT split the games. Now all three teams play one of the other two at home and one on the road, not both on the road or both at home in the same season.

Thanks for the explanation Trot's.

All the same it's a little disconcerting regarding the men's side. A long standing rivalry looks to be coming to a close... Too bad.

Last year Elmira played two against Platty in their barn, then two against RIT in their barn, returned to Platty for the ECAC and even managed to find their way to Middlebury for the Panther/Cardinal classic. Dont hear them crying broke... just me crying not fair! Whatever.....

right...and by coming to platty again this year, you don't have to worry about that anymore. i never said it was a money problem, so i don't know why you're mentioning crying broke...?

Men's coach Emery was quoted as saying it was too expensive to continue to travel to Elmira. Not sure what we are suppose to take from that I guess?

I know about what Emery said, but I didn't think I was posting on the men's forum right now and I don't see why anything money-related has anything to do with the even playing field for the top-3 in the WOMEN'S ECAC-West that I mentioned.

Just to be clear...your not on the Men's forum, My point was if there is no Gas money for the Men's bus how can there be any Gas money for the Women's bus?

Probably stemming from the fact that they're extra expenditures, not conference matchups. And my other point was not going against anything you've said, but the fact that 2-4 (I guess you're representing him now?) was talking about conference game mismatches relating to money in some way...guess I just got confused as to what money had to do with the fact that Elmira was evidently not happy having to travel to play RIT and Platty on the road...my point was, with having to come to Platty against this year, you don't have to worry about playing both on the road anymore, end of story.
