Plattsburgh State 2010

Re: Plattsburgh State 2010

As much as I enjoy the Rob and Ducky show...WIRY's coverage is hit and miss on the women's games.

Are they scheduled to cover the Elmira/Platty matchup on the 11th/12th of December? For that matter, is there any coverage of the Panther/Cardinal Classic on the 2nd/3rd of January?

WIRY doesn't cover every game, but most of the key match ups...although I'm not sure why they covered the Chatham/Plattsburgh match a couple of weeks ago...that was a waste of airtime for sure. To find out if they're covering the games above, just email Bob at WIRY and he'll let you know. I'm not sure at this time, but I'd think they'd have the Cardinal Classic for sure. Not sure the Elmira game would be worth it this year...;)

I sent an email to WIRY.

Not sure why you wouldn't want the Elmira games covered...it's not every day that you get to witness a DIII team going up against a DI team...

Saturday Elmira game will be covered. WIRY has obligations to the NY Giants on Sundays, which is why first semester weekends aren't typically fully covered. They can't broadcast the Sunday games because of football.

Re: Plattsburgh State 2010

I can confirm that WIRY will cover the December 11th game against Elmira but due to NFL commitments must bow out of the Sunday game as the Giants are playing Vikings in Minnesota...like we don't already know the outcome of that game.

WIRY also confirmed that they will be broadcasting both games (Platty vs. Amherst and Middlebury vs. Elmira on the 2nd of January) but only the game the Cardinals play on the 3rd of January.

7 ECAC West titles, 2 national championships, back-to-back Frozen Four appearances the last two years while Plattsburgh has been home. :)

4-2 victory with a late goal allowed...Awesome win girls...have to say, I called the score, (but I had an empty netter, so it wasnt a perfect call). Keep it going!!

Granted it was a nice win for the Cardinals...those shot totals have to be a little disconcerting however.

Re: Plattsburgh State 2010

Look at my prediction on the blog ;)

Actually if you check my prediction on the Norwich thread.......I had Platty winning by 3 (would have been correct but a goal with seconds left by NU) and also predicted that goaltending would be Norwich's downfall and that coach Bolding would use 2 goalies both of which came true......... This Norwich team was a better team but for the tending....they were bigger, stronger, faster...and anyone that was there saw that and the slanted shots on goal count kind of points that out....Not saying Platty is not a good team cuz they are, but NU was better except were it counted.....in goal.
