Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, we are getting up to a foot tomorrow into Wednesday, so I may have to put the winter cloths in the dryer to get them ready in time

Yeah we are getting that same storm. And unlike down your way, we still have two feet on the ground to start of with. A white Easter on the horizon. Not quite the same alure as a white Christmas.

Not looking beyond this week - as anything COULD happen - but with the Olympics shaking things up I think it very well could be next year.

Hoping you're right. I wanted to say what I said to hopefully take away the jinx of a perfect season Then again I don't want an east winner any year

So far this year mercyhurst has pulled out some huge wins (Cornell, bc and clarkson) and i doubt any team left in the top 4 plays with as much heart as they do, so I wouldn't count them out just yet.

Mercyhurst would be a great story. Conference champions of the regular season, win conference tournament and then defeat the champions of the three other conferences in the NCAA tournament to win the national championship, it would be story book.

P.S. You may recall that we met briefly when you were out to Minneapolis in early '08, I believe it was, when the Gophers took 3 of 4 points in a two game series? Just want to warn ya, the Gophers are at least 10 times better now, as compared to then...

Also be forewarned that you may not encounter the usual "Minnesota Nice" when you're out here, as the extended winter weather has left most here feeling a little grumpy.

I do indeed remember! I think I met you, ARM, and brooky. Missing anyone?

That was a fun weekend. I remember Allie Thu strum going off in one of those games in her return home which earned us the tie in a pretty big "upset" (are ties upsets?).

BC decides to use a new tactic and dress 6 goalies....their coach declares we can't lose if MN doesn't score. The turtle defense has a shutout till the 3 minute mark when Raty scores on a knuckle puck from her own blue line.....score remains 1-0 going into break. Shots are 85-0. In the second period, BC only suits up one goalie and has slipped a piece of plexiglass over the goal.....unfortunately, Bozek first slapper shatters the glass....after a ten minute delay....MN scores on their next 5 shots.....up 6-0 the clock is changed to running time....BC coach takes a time out and sends his team to the locker room to watch Miracle for the 9th time this week......unfortunately someone replaced the Miracle dvd with Rudy.....they all turn in their jerseys so Rudy can take their spot. Game is forfeited as a 1-0 win for MN. In post game presser TTT is quoted as saying "See, I told you MN would only score 1 on BC, when do we play BU for the championchips".

Mercyhurst is reportedly negotiating with UND for use of the Lam sisters for the championship game.

I was just getting started on the Fan Forum in Jan 2008, so TTT hadn't had a chance to interact with me before then.

I remember more TTT's 2009 trip to Ridder. Too bad we didn't get more chance to chat during that trip.

By the way: Ready to go for Friday. Got my good juju going... I put my Minnesota Women's Hockey t-shirt and Gopher hockey jersey inside out and upside down in my closet.

It's kind of unfair. Athletes work and sweat all year in hopes of winning a championship, and in the end it comes down to the laundry of some guy 1,000 miles away who isn't even interested enough to show up and watch. Well, at least nobody can accuse us of choking. There's no defense for the t-shirt jinx.
