Patty Kaz 2013

Re: Patty Kaz 2013

Throughout Agosta's career, my opinion is the ultimate PK winner was the appropriate choice.

Hey I could probably score a bunch of goals against the Little Sisters of the Poor too but they aren't putting me in the Kaz conversation.
Probably. But probably not.

I knew it was only a matter of seconds before someone (you) brought this up. Saying Agosta played in a weak confrence is like saying Kessel plays on a uber stacked team.

Yeah...

Relevant to the discussion or relevant to the question...

It was doubly irrelevant to the question, which was about which year that Meghan Agosta played was one where she should have won the PK. To the best of my knowledge, no one voted for Kessel over Agosta in the only year the both played NCAA hockey, so what comparing her stats, either season or career, to Agosta's is supposed to mean completely eludes me.

Enigma.

Sometimes you gotta think outside the box...

Re: Patty Kaz 2013

So, herein lies the reason one has to take Noora out of the equation. She may be the greatest female goalie ever (believe it or not, I say that sincerely), but in THIS season, how many games has she been a factor in the outcome? How many games has her team been outshot and won based on her extra effort THIS season? How many breakaways has she saved that kept her team in the game THIS season?

It's an odd situation, granted, because for career I think the hockey world genuinely appreciates her talent. But if you play by the rules and put all that aside, it's just not working for me.

I think Raty has the hang over effect from last year where she was the stud that willed the championship last year. Which I think is fair since PK was already decided before her performances. And considering that she has sprung from that high level last year to an even higher level this year.... check her performances against UND, WI, UMD and others this year....wearing the undefeated belt when everyone would love to be the team to hang the "L" on you - it ain't easy. Any drop in her intensity would show as a blemish on the record. Now with all that said, Raty is a worthy finalist, but hard to discount Kessel's dominance....not an easy decision.
