Milbury says he doesn't blame Boyle "for getting in his face" because it was a "dirty hit." He didn't so much as get in his face as cheap shot him from behind...

Milbury was speaking out of both sides of his mouth: he said it was only ok if there was a history between the two players then said it was ok for Boyle to go after Semin.

The US beat them in a game that Canada thoroughly dominated. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but I think you're wrong. (I think Sweden is better, than either, though.)

was the call on semin "boarding"? one of my least favorite penalties in hockey. how does he have any control over boyle going into the boards after delivering a clean hit?

not nitpicking... i went back and didn't see anything to have the ref put his arm in the air (other than boyle slashing markov early in the shift) :confused: really not on semin.

The call on Semin was high-sticking for his hit on Crosby.

Anyone know how big the UBC Arena is? The Czech/Finn game is on from there and this a potential NCAA arena if UBC goes D-1 in the NCAA.

The commentator said Semin's hit on Boyle was a "nasty, dirty hit" that was "late, high and dangerous."
