Dang, US with another near miss in the first minute. It's because of the unis. If they were wearing the throwbacks they'd be unbeatable. :mad:

We've scored three, hit two posts, and only lead 1-0.

Evidently Bobby Ryan being jumped into and hit in the head is fine, but when one of Kesler's arms merely grazes a ducking d-man, HANG 'EM HIGH.

Well...he used to play for Montreal...don't know if that has anything to do with it...Or maybe he did something big to help the Swiss beat Canada in Turin?

I'm glad that one is done. Hiller is the one goalie that really scared the crap out of me, as far as being able to completely steal a game, and it sounds like he came close to doing it today.

The Swiss seemed like they played to keep it close...few shots, little forecheck and trapping the neutral zone.

Alright, last team to play nearly nothing but D for 60 minutes is eliminated. Spirited effort by them for the last five minutes, though.

Erik Johnson, Chris Drury, and Ryan Callahan were shot-blocking machines today. Made it pretty easy for Miller.
