Not to get slightly off topic but I think it's the players that will be trying to force the issue on that one.

The National Governing Bodies (USA Hockey, Hockey Canada etc.) always want the NHL players. Otherwise it's they have to go back to spending a lot of money on training, supporting National Teams like the old days.

I won't spoil the women's GS but I just saw something on Sports Center that really frosts me. Maybe ESPN was exaggerating, but if this really happened it's inexcusable. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

There's also some breaking news but if I talked about it the skiing might be spoiled...screw NBC delaying stuff.

If the Russians score a couple early, what are the odds the crowd turns on the Canadians? I'd love to see these guys get booed by their own fans.:D

Good start for the Canucks.

One thing I noticed in their game against Germany yesterday, some of Canada's lines (Crosby in particular) seem to stay out on the ice for a LONG time. The Germans weren't really good enough to exploit it, but the Russians might be, especially with extra rest and the last change.

End to end action. This is a darn good advertisment for why the NHL needs to be in Sochi.

Yeah, Olympic hockey with NHL players is just really good hockey.
