Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread
I understand where you are coming from, I once went in circles with Oswego and George Roll back when they played in Romney, and they wouldn't sell any tickets except at the door. However, Romney had the capacity that made a sellout unlikely (maybe someone knows if it ever did - I never was turned away), unlike the new Stafford with its new, much to be desired, seating capacity.
Anyway, from my post on the Plattsburgh thread:
On the plus side, you have an equal chance of getting a ticket, as the only ones available to anybody outside of the 300 reserved for Plattsburgh State students, will be those that go on-sale at 5:30. As for waiting in line, at least you won't have the 1100 faithful fans who bought season tickets to deal with.
Any idea how many tickets will be available at 5:30? How early would you have to get there to make sure you didnt waste a 4+ hour drive?

Note Emery also states that of the approximately 1924 available tickets, only 1100 were sold as season tickets, 50 are reserved for the opposing team and 300 are reserved for Plattsburgh State students, so 474 tickets (just slightly less than 25%) should be the minimum available at the box office at 5:30 on game nights (plus any student tickets not picked up).
