Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

No idea...if ever.....

Kudroch, Corry, Rossy, and Docking all come to mind. VanDermale was out Saturday due to a dirty hit the night before...Sliasis's return has been great. Schlueter and Breslin sat out Friday nights game due to a team suspension.

I have not heard what, who, where ect....all I know is it was team rules and they are out indefinitely (if ever again).

And I agree about the game, but it would have been something if Leis could have stopped a few. Just when Plattsburgh gets flying, Laker goal. That 3rd goal with .3 seconds was BRUTAL. Give em credit, they finished the few chances they got and KGT stood on his head. Another reason come Jan it will be VERY interesting. While the scoreboard showed different, I am not sure if the better team won. (but isn't how its been for a few years now)

I was at the game and there was nothing dirty about the hit on Vandermale the kid had his head down and got his bell rung. Calling it a dirty hit is a little dramatic dont you think.

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

Is there a new poll this week? Being the holiday week I wasnt sure if there was one..

Yah, the results are up already, Oswego is still ranked second behind St. Norbert who now have 17 first place votes having stolen one from Mahattanville.

Thanks for the info.

I wish I could have been at the game. Obviously it has been too long since I've seen a Laker win over Plattsburgh. It also sounds like it was a good game for two teams that got noticeably younger and were able to walk away with some positives.

I hope to be at the Campus Center in January for the rematch. If I am, I've seen enough Oswego/Plattsburgh games over the last few years to realize that Plattsburgh may not be the favorite to a bunch of people in the CC, but they will undoubtedly be to me (barring some sort of horrific collapse/injury problems).

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

Will there be a new poll tomorrow for D3? If so, is it safe to assume the Lakers will be the new #1? Also, how far can we expect to see still-unbeaten Adrian climb? Starting to think that the Jan. 8 match-up between those two could be a #1 v. #2 battle if both run the table from now until then.

I suppose there is a chance of that happening, but I expect Plattsburgh to retake the #1 ranking. I say this because the Lakers were idle on the weekend while the Cardinals picked up a win and a tie in the always tough Primelink

Come to think of it, there's likely to be a lot of shakeups in the poll this week. I wonder what Prez's prediction will look like

I think Oswego will likely take over #1 with either Plattsburgh or SNC followed close behind at #2.

I dont see why there wouldn't be a new poll.

I don't see Adrian moving past #4. They'll likely jump Manhattanville but other than that I dont see them getting higher at this point.

I agree and I also think the/my Lakers r getting little if any love/respect, as witnessed by the lack of #1 votes in the past.....All I seem to read is how great the cards r.. ugh, wait until all the "guys return to the line-up"..last I checked, you can only put 5 guys on the ice at once..... The adrian game will b fun, but cant wait to travel to Oz and see the pots/platt weekend, I used to love playing in it, hope watching is as much fun.

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

Guess
#1 Oz/Platty
#2 Platty/Oz
#3 SNC
#4 Adrian!
#5 Elmira
#6 CSS

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

I am thinking if Adrian will be #1 since they are the only team with first place votes that did not lose and Oswego was idle. Plattsburgh will not jump up to #1 as somebody said. Even though I am a Plattsburgh fan I would rather see Oswego at 1 then Adrian. I looked at Adrian's tournament and the teams included were a combined 7-18-4.

I think you're going to end up being pretty accurate. I might flip SNC and Adrian, but other than that, I think you're fine.

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

I suspect Norwich may sneak into the top 4 before Adrian ?

I dont know if they will be top 4 but Norwich will certainly spike up this week with the win over Stout and tie with Plattsburgh.

I think Norwich will either be just ahead of Elmira for fifth or right behind them in sixth.

I'll post my new poll predictions soon.

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

I think Norwich is a top 5 team...I'd say Oswego should be the new number 1, with Plattsburgh, SNC, Adrian, and Norwich rounding out the top 5. Wow how cool, two SUNYAC teams at the top of the polls :D

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

The rivalry lives on... co-top seeds.

Surprised that we are sharing the ranking with Plattsburgh, considering we beat them in their barn.

Keep that 1 in the L column and grow the number in the W column and the ranking takes care of itself.

It's like I mentioned in another post on the poll predictions thread - the pollsters are not as kind to the Lakers as we are on the forum, especially on this thread. They also love the winner of the Primelink, seeing as you have to go through at least one of Middlebury, Plattsburgh, and Norwich. As Plattsburgh beat Middlebury and tied Norwich, it must make it easier to forget the lone L came from the Lakers.

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

I'm a Plattsburgh fan and I'm even surprised at the polls. Good thing they don't mean a whole lot, but I can't see the justification of having the Lakers and Cards tied at the top...

well just like i said..........NO LOVE, RESPECT, PROPS, etc etc whatever u want to call it..we should b #1 , beat them in their own barn as said by another poster......nuff said

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

It doesn't matter who's ranked first in December. We'll need to keep racking up the wins and hopefully it won't come down to an at large bid in mid-May.

Go Lakers!

By mid-May the ice will have been melted for 2 months. :p

But yes, Go Lakers and bring home a SUNYAC title! It's been too long.
