Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

All right, time to settle this: Who was closer?!?!

He was closer to the Utica "goal" however, it happened on the far post which means I had a better angle. I clearly saw blue underneath the puck.... I was closer to the Moodie "goal" but still... baffling.

It's the only game they are playing.

I'd guess Adrian was just desperate to get one of the big guns to play them and would take anything.

Plus I think 1 out of conference game was all Adrian's schedule would allow since they already had their other OOC games lined up already. Adrian only plays 5 OOC games with their 20 game league schedule already so chances are limited.

Kudos to Oswego for stepping up and playing Adrian because a lot of the other big guns won't/can't do it.

Just a guess, but if an NCHA team, for example, dropped Northland for Adrian it would do wonders for their Strength of Schedule - win or lose.

I don't disagree. But the NCHA coaches havent stepped up to the plate so far and done that. Whether they are tied down to schedule commitments already, Adrian is too far to travel, or they just don't want to play the Bulldogs, I'm not sure.

But I'm sure atleast one of the factors above are one or some of the reasons why none of the "big boys" have stepped up to schedule Adrian so far.

I would bet that Beckwith was feeling well enough to play last weekend but Coach Gosek either felt he was not in game shape or decided to continue with KGT. Gosek now appears to have 2 quality tenders and whether he likes it or not he should be rotating them. Also, saw the Utica game and thought the Lakers should have buried them. KGT did not appear to be following the puck that well and was suprised by a couple of shots. Hopefully the team will be not take Morrisville lightly, as has happened in the past, and will continue with their 5 goal average.

I think Utica did a good job of crowding the middle of the ice and KGT was screened on alot of the shots and didn't see them.

Then that was the rare occassion that they crowded the middle because they didn't even do it on the power plays.

I'm not sure if Beckwith was feeling well enough to play. Yes he practiced all week and was dressed for Utica but I don't believe he made the trip to Cortland. I am not sure who will start this weekend. I would expect Gunner will start, as we saw last year with Tim Potter... ride the win streak. No fault of his, Beckwith just got sick and his backup is playing well... just look at Wally Pipp.... "temporarily" replaced by Lou Gehrig... 2,130 games later......????

I was on hand at the game against Cortland and Beckwith was dressed, But KGT has been playing really well. I mean KGT beat Plattsburgh something that haddent happened since February 2006. And seeing how he hasn't lost this year the job may be his to lose now.

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

I just have a gut feeling Beckwith with start Saturday... can't really explain it, I just think Gosek wants to find room for both guys the rest of the way.
