Oswego Lakers 2022-23..Crash the net...Let's go Lakers!!!!!

This Oswego broadcast team is embarassing themselves. Good production, but the commentating was one of the most embarassing I have heard.

The Lakers can keep their heads high tonight even though they lost. It is very hard to beat 2 teams on the ice at the same time. The ref Tyler Loftus should never be allowed to referee a game again. Just abustle terrible. I never call out a ref by name, but this time is the exception. Terrible calls on the Lakers. The 5 min major and 10 min misc. on a clean hit and other junk he called was atrocious. Granted he did miss some blatant calls that should have been against the Lakers, but it was not as bad as what he called on the Lakers. While Adrian's #11 f Adrian only got 2 minutes for spearing. The linesmen took their cue from Loftus and were almost as bad as he was. I really hoped that tonight's game would have not been besided by the ladies in stripes. Adrian is a fast team, works the boards and passed the puck well. So, in that aspect I was impressed with the team. I would like to know if a player goes off for being hurt and goes to the locker room to get checked is there a time limit that they have to be out for?? For guy who got hit for Adrian went to the lockers and in about 1-2 minutes was out skating. Would like to hear other thoughts.

I'll have to agree with DIIIFan. I rarely criticize the refs- it's a tough job and I sure wouldn't want to do it. But tonight was over the top. A matchup of two top 10 teams deserved much better. Just very bad officiating that affected the outcome of the game.

On the positive side, the Lakers played #3 Adrian toe-to-toe throughout the game. A wakeup call should we meet again later in the season. With better officiating.

Unless it's a head injury, this is the dumbest thing I ever heard.

The thing is, the first slew of penalties against Oswego were warranted. You can't commit that many properly called penalties against a team like Adrian.

They were all penalties other than the major at the end of the game, which still was a boarding penalty but only should have been 2 min.

Icing call while a man down??? You don't see that in a pee-wee game...

It happens. The penalty had just expired. They moved the faceoff to center ice. What more do you want. Dont take dumb obvious penalties against the #3 team in the country and you arent complaining about anything

I refrained from writing anything until today. I was very upset after our game Saturday. As someone wrote you cannot give up multiple penalties against a good Hockey team. But let’s go back to the first period. I believe what we saw in the first was the beginning of a great hockey game. That period had everything. I as anyone who is a loyal fan will from time to time become bias, but there is little doubt the officiating took away the possibility of a great College Hockey game. Their calls were horrible, but let’s look at the five minute major with 5:45 left in the game. Connor SLEETH is a clean Hockey player and his hit was not to the head. I can videotape these home games and I have watched that hit several times, the Adrian player was never hit in the head. It was shoulder to shoulder. The officiating admins need to take a good look at this game. It was not about two very good Hockey teams it was about the four boys who took over the game running around in Stripes

Well I missed all of the games, and the reffing as well, sucks to read that the refs got involved in the game, not sure but sometimes the refs think they have to be noticed.......not so...final 10 games coming up lets finish strong...Go Lakers !!!

Travis Broughman with 1 goal and 3 assists in 5 games with the Adirondack Thunder ECHL.....Off to a good start...

Looks like Oz picked a DMan from U-Mass Boston...Nolan Barrett.soph...6'1 175lbs.. last season ...22 gp-5 goals-13 a for 18 pts....best of luck in Lakerland!!!

There was a blown icing call in the Elmira and Hobart games this weekend. I’ve noticed it in other games this year, so it certsining is not an uncommon occurrence.

Lucky weekend for the Lakers. First, they should not have gotten by Potsdam they didn't deserve it. Plus, the goal in the shootout should not have counted our player stopped his forward momentum it looked like. To many bad penalties for that game and against Platty. I don't think Green should have been pulled in the Potsdam game. Only the second goal was his. The D'men let him down. On the brighter side of things, the PP was working in both games and the PPK was pretty good. Still have to work on the 5 on 3. Don't think we have scored a 5 on 3 in 10 years. Cal was good in net. Gotta give props to all the goalies this weekend for they all played really well. On the other hand, the ref situation was poor too bad for the whole tourney. This was too bad for they missed up a nice tourney. Well now for the rest of the SUNY's and playoffs. Hope we do as well in 2 weeks for the trip north.
To Mr. Jaslow's point above, if the ref's want to keep their rating up just call a constant bad or good game. Don't change like they did in the Adrain/Oswego game.
