Yes LEL looked pretty good a lot of pep in our step...Nice to finish a few good goals...Now if we could stay out of the box???Missing Dicarlo again, and a few Dmen, but Bull filled in nicely...Not to impressed with the crowd, maybe it was the computer view ;-))......Hope to make Whiteout, but that means my daughters volleyball team has to lose in the semis of sectionals...UGH....Go Lakers!!!
You don't want that for your daughter. So, be a good Dad and root, root, root for her. LOL
Went to both games last weekend. Hobart is fast, skilled, and strong, we chased them all night. We looked a lot better at home against Elmira. Either there is a BIG difference between #5 and #9 (as of last week), or we had an off night against the Statesmen. Green looked pretty shakey, Parent played well but with him "every period is an adventure". Wondering if Ed will start Schell tomorrow?
I have to say that our visit to the Cooler left a lot to be desired (aside from the loss). It was as cold as ever, the restrooms were closed and flooded, raw sewage floating all over the floor. A number of the Hobart students were over the edge, chanting vulgarities. The visitor locker room is so small that part of the team has to remain outside between the room and the rink door, and some of the shirtless "letter painted" guys would go down between periods to harass the players. Asked about getting security over there to keep order we were told "we don't have any security".
Not a good look Hobart.
Whiteout Weekend starts tomorrow with Platty, will be interesting to see how they look this year.
Have been following Cal Schell since last season. Think this could be Oswego’s best goalie since Ryan Scott.
Bump
It has been two weeks since the Oswego Hobart game. Cold n Romney wrote of the deplorable conditions at the cooler. Both mens and women bathrooms were flooded and also the ref’s room. No one came to fix this the entire game.
Regarding the ten young men harassing our players where the visitors enter the ice, they were screaming vulgarities at our players . I step in between the players and the college students and asked for security. The usher repeated that there was none. This is a dangerous situation, these are big men with helmets, sticks and skates and these foolish people taunting. You never get into a players face. The Hobart Administration should be ashamed to allow this. As well as the NCAA.
At the games last weekend at The Marano Campus Center on the grounds of SUNY Oswego there were State Troopers to provide security along with security from Oswego, perhaps this could be a help at the cooler???

Different situation.
Marano is on the campus and thus the campus state police are required to provide security. It's part of their job.
Hobart plays in a community rink owned by the Town of Geneva. The school cannot have their campus police provide security off campus. It's not their jurisdiction. They need to rely on the town's police, and I'm sure the school would have to pay for it.
Russell, we are aware that the city of Geneva owns the municipal rink, the cooler. We have visited that rink for twenty years. If the city of Geneva fails to police tge facility then Hobart college has to step in. As you say perhaps pay the security. I’m certain such an a gust credited school could afford the pay for security. As for the bathrooms , when you visited the rink and found the bathrooms working ask my wife if she actually appreciates that fact.
