Philly did a duet of "God Bless America" before the game feauring a recording of Kate Smith. And yeah, it was pretty weak. The Bulls borrowed Jim Cornelison from the Black Hawks and he did an awesome job on the Anthem. For those who didn't watch, the United Center was dark except for the United We Stand electronic banners and a light shining on the flag being held by the Marine Corps color guard. During the part where he sings "The flag was still there" he gestured to the flag at the top of the stadium and a spotlight lit up the American Flag. Maybe the spotlight was there before, but it was shot so it looked like it lit up when he gestured. I generally don't get emotional but that was a great rendition of Anthem. Just thinking of the people we lost on 9/11, all the soldiers who have sacrificed...I'm not ashamed to say I teared up. I'll try to find video online.

And I too listened a bit to rush limbaugh today to see what he had to say. there is NO NEED for politics in this. there really isn't. so he failed today.

I can't believe so many media outlets fell for his bit.

Why's Obama letting that clown sit in his seat?

I think the soldiers who were involved in this mission in any way can sit in whatever chair they ****-well please

I've said before I'm a little conflicted on what we should have done with the body, I see the arguments on both sides. However, if they actually included these lines in the funeral prayer, I'll be rather upset.



I don't care what the argument is, I don't think "admit him to Paradise" is anything an American ought to be saying with regard to bin Laden.

Crossed fingers? If we'd had the time, I still think Guido Sarducci should have presided.

You have to know job number two in this raid was to gather as much intelliogence as possible on AQ. In that, I'm certain they succeeded.

I heard that of the 40 minutes on the ground, roughly five were spent firing. The rest was sweeping up as many laptops/documents they could find, and detonating the malfunctioning chopper.

"Double tap to the left of the head." Couldn't help but think of Zombieland. Always double tap.

After 9/11 this was my preferred method... people all over the Mid-East world would just disappear... the thing is this was too closely associated to the problems of the CIA's past in the 60s and 70s (as far as i understand).

Once again, our armed forces pull through big-time. I hope and pray that the expiration of this scumbag brings some form of peace and closure to the families and friends who lost a loved one in combat, on 9/11 or in any of the other terrorist attacks perpetrated by that demon.
